In the present work, we have analyzed the use of elliptical beam shaping along with low numerical aperture focusing optics in order to produce circular cross-section waveguides in different materials at large processing depths by direct femtosecond laser writing (100 fs, 800 nm, 1 kHz). A variable slit located before the focusing optics allows to generate a nearly elliptical beam shape and also to reduce the effective numerical aperture of the beam along the shat axis of the ellipse. The focusing optics allows to focus the beam deep inside the sample, which is translated at a constant speed transversely to the writing beam direction. The influence of several experimental parameters (energy per pulse, slit width, processing depth) on the properties of the produced waveguides has been analyzed. The influence of the intrinsic properties of the material (refractive index, composition) has been analyzed by comparing results obtained in fused silica and Er:Yb co-doped phosphate glass. The results obtained show that this approach leads to the successful production of deep subsurface (up to 7 mm) waveguides with circular cross-sections. Preliminary results using chirped pulses in the phosphate glass suggest that temporal pulse shaping can be used as an additional parameter to optimize the guided mode symmetry.  相似文献

An adaptive frequency domain equalizer (A-FDE) in quadrature phase shift keying-coherent optical-orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (QPSK-CO-OFDM) system is proposed in this paper. A-FDE uses steepest descent method to search the optimal equalization parameters. And through applying the adaptive control factor (ACF) to monitor the state of A-FDE, the interference from phase noise (PN) and chromatic dispersion (CD) can be mitigated. The numerical simulation shows that the performance of A-FDE has a remarkable improvement on combating PN and CD comparing with the conventional decision-directed equalizer (DDE). And the A-FDE can achieve the forward-error-correction (FEC) threshold in noisier scenario. Furthermore, because the calculation of ACF only bases on valid data instead of pilot symbols (PSs), A-FDE has low PS overhead merit.  相似文献

Scanning deflectometric profilers based on an f–gθ system are typical optical tools used to measure mirror profiles at many synchrotron facilities. Unlike these profilers, which are based on a pencil beam, here a secondary light source and a pinhole are used to construct a system that automatically selects a beam that will always pass through the pinhole and propagate along the normal direction of the measured area on the surface under test. By measuring the angle variation of the selected beam, slope variations of the surface under test can be measured. Systematic errors introduced by manufacturing defects or aberrations of an optical element, which greatly degrade the performance of traditional profilers, could be minimized by using the developed method. Simulation values of the proposed method and a conventional method are compared.  相似文献

We consider the vertex coloring problem, which can be stated as the problem of minimizing the number of labels that can be assigned to the vertices of a graph G such that each vertex receives at least one label and the endpoints of every edge are assigned different labels. In this work, the 0-1 integer programming formulation based on representative vertices is revisited to remove symmetry. The previous polyhedral study related to the original formulation is adapted and generalized. New versions of facets derived from substructures of G are presented, including cliques, odd holes and anti-holes and wheels. In addition, a new class of facets is derived from independent sets of G. Finally, a comparison with the independent sets formulation is provided.  相似文献

Some scheduling problems induce a mixed graph coloring, i.e., an assignment of positive integers (colors) to vertices of a mixed graph such that, if two vertices are joined by an edge, then their colors have to be different, and if two vertices are joined by an arc, then the color of the startvertex has to be not greater than the color of the endvertex. We discuss some algorithms for coloring the vertices of a mixed graph with a small number t of colors and present computational results for calculating the chromatic number, i.e., the minimal possible value of such a t . We also study the chromatic polynomial of a mixed graph which may be used for calculating the number of feasible schedules.  相似文献

In this paper, an extended finite difference time domain (FDTD) algorithm for the full-vectorial analysis of photonic crystal fibers has been derived. For achieving a good convergence and high accuracy, a kind of modified conformal FDTD method has been applied. An anisotropic perfectly matched layer for truncation of boundary conditions has been introduced. Material and chromatic dispersions are numerically investigated for the photonic crystal fibers with different dimensions and geometrical parameters and different dispersion behaviors are exhibited.  相似文献

A human eye model based on anatomically accurate eye model previously proposed by Liou, has been transformed into a new eye model, in which laminated structure of the lens is considered. The crystalline lens is presented in the form of hundreds of shells with rotational symmetry, and with constant index within each shell. The refractive index increases from the cortical shell to the inner one, according to the equation proposed by Smith G. et al. The anterior surface of the lens is prolate, whereas the posterior surface of the lens is oblate which is consistent with the anatomical data. A ray tracing procedure has been applied to study the refractive structure of the eye. The optical characters of the model have been studied. The reason that the wings occur on the spherical aberration curve has been given. And we found that the lens with gradient refractive index and lens with shell structure can give same longitudinal spherical aberration results.  相似文献
