The advent of chemical tools for cellular imaging—from organic dyes to green fluorescent proteins—has revolutionized the fields of molecular biology and biochemistry. Lanthanide-based probes are a new player in this area, as the last decade has seen the emergence of the first responsive luminescent lanthanide probes specifically intended for imaging cellular processes. The potential of these probes is still undervalued by the scientific community. Indeed, this class of probes offers several advantages over organic dyes and fluorescent proteins. Their very long luminescence lifetimes enable quantitative spatial determination of the intracellular concentration of an analyte through time-gating measurements. Their emission bands are very narrow and do not overlap, enabling the simultaneous use of multiple lanthanide probes to quantitatively detect several analytes without cross-interference. Herein we describe the principles behind the development of this class of probes. Sensors for a desired analyte can be designed by rationally manipulating the parameters that influence the luminescence of lanthanide complexes. We will discuss sensors based on varying the number of inner-sphere water molecules, the distance separating the antenna from the lanthanide ion, the energies of excited states of the antenna, and PeT switches.

We consider a system of parallel servers handling users of various classes, whose service rates depend not only on user classes, but also on the set of active servers. We investigate the stability under two types of allocation strategies: (i) server assignment where the users are assigned to servers based on rates, load, and other considerations, and (ii) coordinated scheduling where the activity states of servers are coordinated. We show how the model may be applied to evaluate the downlink capacity of wireless data networks. Specifically, we examine the potential gains in wireless capacity from the two types of resource allocation strategies.  相似文献

通过设计行人行走倾向性调查实验,分析了行人的行走倾向性特征. 引入前进系数、右倾系数、超越系数以及影响修正系数等对元胞自动机(CA) 基本模型中的转移概率进行修正,建立了考虑行人行走倾向性特征的CA行人仿真模型. 针对该模型中的行人群体,依据k-近邻作用原理,构建行人复杂网络. 通过计算机仿真,揭示了行人流密度、速度和流量的关系以及仿真过程中出现的自组织现象.进一步分析仿真输出的行人流基本参数和行人复杂网络主要特征参数,发现对同一行人流,其平均速度和网络平均路径长度均随着行人流状态的改变而变化.最后, 通过平均路径长度和平均速度的数据拟合,得出两者之间存在着线性负相关关系的结论, 即具有较小网络平均路径长度的行人流具有较高的平均速度.  相似文献

用元胞自动机(CellularAutomaton,CA)模型研究了界面能各向异性对二维定向凝固胞晶的生长形态的影响,建立了判定胞晶生长达到稳态的判据.结果显示,当界面能各向异性强度非常小时,胞晶尖端很容易分岔,胞晶形态不容易稳定.而当界面能各向异性强度足够大时,容易形成稳定的胞晶形态,同时界面能各向异性强度会显著影响稳定胞晶的形态,界面能各向异性越强,稳态胞晶间距越小,胞晶尖端半径越小,尖端半径与胞晶间距的比值越小,固液界面前沿的浓度与过冷度越小.  相似文献

We propose a simple cellular automaton for traffic flow within the fundamental diagram, which could reproduce aspects of the three-phase theory. This so-called average space gap model (ASGM) is based on the Nagel–Schreckenberg model with additional slow-to-start and anticipation rules. The anticipation rule takes into account the average space gap of multiple leading vehicles and conveys to the model its three-phase property. Due to the anticipation rule, ASGM can show the transition from free flow to synchronized flow. Due to the slow-to-start rule, ASGM can show the spontaneous wide moving jam emerges in the synchronized flow. Simulations are carried out for periodic and open boundary conditions. Under periodic boundary condition, the fundamental diagram, and the properties of synchronized flow are studied. Under open boundary condition, different congested patterns induced by an on-ramp are analyzed. We found that the ASGM produces the same spatiotemporal dynamics as many of the more complex three-phase models. Due to its simplicity and its close relation to conventional slow-to-start models, this model can shed light on the relation between ‘two-phase’ and three-phase models.  相似文献

基于元胞自动机对视线受影响的行人疏散流进行仿真研究.模型根据行人视野半径将疏散空间划分为可见安全出口区域、可见墙壁区域和盲目区域;利用两个动态参数描述行人在不同移动区域内的疏散特征,从而决定行人的行为选择,包括行人定向移动、沿墙移动和正常疏散移动等行为.仿真研究了行人在墙壁上存在疏散指示标志的疏散空间内,视线受影响时采用随机定向寻墙沿墙移动疏散策略的情况下,行人视野半径对行人疏散时间的影响.研究表明,行人疏散时间不仅受行人视野半径的影响,而且还与安全出口的宽度和安全出口利用率有关.  相似文献

With the polarization of quantum-dot cell and quantum phase serving as state variables, this paper does both theoretical analysis and simulation for the complex nonlinear dynamical behaviour of a three-cell-coupled Quantum Cellular Neural Network (QCNN), including equilibrium points, bifurcation and chaotic behaviour. Different phenomena, such as quasi-periodic, chaotic and hyper-chaotic states as well as bifurcations are revealed. The system's bifurcation and chaotic behaviour under the influence of the different coupling parameters are analysed. And it finds that the unbalanced cells coupled QCNN is easy to cause chaotic oscillation and the system response enters into chaotic state from quasi-periodic state by quasi-period bifurcation; however, the balanced cells coupled QCNN also can be chaotic when coupling parameters is in some region. Additionally, both the unbalanced and balanced cells coupled QCNNs can possess hyper-chaotic behaviour. It provides valuable information about QCNNs for future application in high-parallel signal processing and novel ultra-small chaotic generators.  相似文献

The Lagrange problem is established in the discrete field theory subject to constraints with values in a Lie group. For the admissible sections that satisfy a certain regularity condition, we prove that the critical sections of such problems are the solutions of a canonically unconstrained variational problem associated with the Lagrange problem (discrete Lagrange multiplier rule). This variational problem has a discrete Cartan 1-form, from which a Noether theory of symmetries and a multisymplectic form formula are established. The whole theory is applied to the Euler-Poincaré reduction in the discrete field theory, concluding as an illustration with the remarkable example of the harmonic maps of the discrete plane in the Lie group SO(n).  相似文献

The Camellia sinensis plant provides a wide diversity of black, green, oolong, yellow, brick dark, and white tea. Tea is one of the majorly used beverages across the globe, succeeds only in the water for fitness and pleasure. Generally, green tea has been preferred more as compared to other teas due to its main constituent e.g. polyphenols which contribute to various health benefits. The aim of this updated and comprehensive review is to bring together the latest data on the phytochemistry and pharmacological properties of Camellia sinensis and to highlight the therapeutic prospects of the bioactive compounds in this plant so that the full medicinal potential of Camellia sinensis can be realised. A review of published studies on this topic was performed by searching PubMed/MedLine, Scopus, Google scholar, and Web of Science databases from 1999 to 2022. The results of the analysed studies showed that the main polyphenols of tea are the four prime flavonoids catechins: epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), epicatechin gallate (ECG), epigallocatechin (EGC), and epicatechin (EC) along with the beneficial biological properties of tea for a broad heterogeneity of disorders, including anticancer, neuroprotective, antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, antiobesity, antidiabetes and antiglaucoma activities. Poor absorption and low bioavailability of bioactive compounds from Camellia sinensis are limiting aspects of their therapeutic use. More human clinical studies and approaching the latest nanoformulation techniques in nanoparticles to transport the target phytochemical compounds to increase therapeutic efficacy are needed in the future.  相似文献
