A study on entanglement dynamics for a four-qubit model

In this paper, we consider the entanglement dynamics of a four-qubit model [2006 Phys. Rev. A 74 042328] where two entangled qubits a and b locally interact with separate qubits A and B via the spin-exchange-like Hamiltonian. We study the effect of purity of initial entangled state of qubits a, b on the entanglement evolution and its relation with energy transfer. Also, we find that the total bipartite entanglement of qubits a, b plus A, B is not a constant any longer when the initial entangled state of a, b is not pure, which is a complement to the result in the paper [2007 J. Phys. B 40 S45] for the pure case.

On Extension of Optimal Entanglement Concentration of GHZ States in Quantum-Dot and Micro-Cavity Coupled System

We extend an optimal entanglement distillation of the triplet Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger （GHZ） state via entanglement concentrating in the three-partite partially electron-spin-entangled systems. Two entanglement concen- tration protocols are similarly designed in detail with the post-selection in quantum-dot （QD） and micro-cavity coupled systems. The proposed protocol can be repeated several rounds to achieve an optimal success probability with an as- sistance of the ancillary QD, where only the single photon needs to pass through the micro-cavity for each round. It increases the total success probability of the distillation even if the implemented cavity is imperfect in practice during the whole process.

量子关联与原子间相互作用距离关系的研究

本文将两个二能级原子注入一个腔中,用共生纠缠的方法来度量两原子之间的纠缠并推出它们之间的量子失协,还给出了原子与环境之间的共生纠缠与量子失协的计算公式,讨论了原子自发衰变率的变化对量子纠缠及失协的影响,及不同的初始状态情况下,纠缠及失协随原子距离的演化情况。结果表明：原子自发衰变率减小,原子与环境之间的量子纠缠及失协增加;选择不同的初态,可以控制原子间出现纠缠死亡的现象或量子失协为零的状态。     

A practical weight sensitivity algorithm for goal and multiple objective programming

This paper presents a weight sensitivity algorithm that can be used to investigate a portion of weight space of interest to the decision maker in a goal or multiple objective programme. The preferential information required from the decision maker is an initial estimate of their starting solution, with an equal weights solution being used as a default if this is not available, and preference information that will define the portion of weight space on which the sensitivity analysis is to be conducted. The different types of preferential information and how they are incorporated by the algorithm are discussed. The output of the algorithm is a set of distinct solutions that characterise the portion of weight space searched. The possible different output requirements of decision makers are detailed in the context of the algorithm.The methodology is demonstrated on two examples, one hypothetical and the other relating to predicting cinema-going behaviour. Conclusions and avenues for future research are given.

Two examples of surfaces with normal crossing singularities

This note gives two examples of surfaces with normal crossing singularities.In the first example the canonical ring is not finitely generated.In the second,the canonical line bundle is not ample but its pull back to the normalization is ample.The latter answers in the negative a problem left unresolved in Ⅲ.2.6.2 of lments de gometrie algbrique,1961,and raised again by Viehweg.     

Oscillations of nonlinear hyperbolic equations with functional arguments via Riccati method

This paper is devoted to the study of the oscillatory behavior of solutions of nonlinear hyperbolic equations with functional arguments by using integral averaging method and a generalized Riccati technique. First, we establish oscillation results for nonlinear hyperbolic equations by applying oscillation criteria for Riccati inequality. Secondly, we present interval oscillation results for nonlinear hyperbolic equations. These results improve and extend oscillation results of Cui and Xu [1].     

Thermal Entanglement of an XY Two-Qutrit Spin Chain with Dzialoshinski-Moriya Interaction

The effect of Dzialoshinski-Moriya （DM） interaction on thermal entanglement of an XY two-qutrit spin chain is investigated. We find that DM interaction and the anisotropy parameter can enhance quantum thermal entanglement to a maximal value individually. However, when both of them take large values, the entanglement is not enhanced, but is destroyed. Our analysis will shed some light on the understanding of the effect of the DM interaction on thermal entanglement of an XY two-qutrit spin chain.
