Bending of thick plates with a concentrated load

In this paper, according to the simplified theory of [1], the bending of rectangular plates with two opposite edges simply supported and other two opposite edges being arbitrary under the action of a concentrated load is treated by means of properties of two-variable-function and the method of series^[2]. The effect of transverse shearing forces on the bending of plates is considered. When the thickness h of plates is small, and the term, whose orders are more than order of h² are neglected, then the results agree with the solutions corresponding to the problem of thin plates^[3]. At the end, the solutions of the bending problem of plates with arbitrary linear distributed load are also obtained.     

Elastoplastic analysis of cylindrically orthotropic composite thick-walled tube

In the present paper, Tsai-Hill Yield Criterion in a state of plane strain is derived for incompressible and compressible materials respectively. the elastoplastic stress and displacement fields of cylindrically orthotropic composite thick-walled tube under uniform radial pressure are studied. The formulas of the yield pressure, limit pressure and region of shakedown are obtained.     

Maximal Inequalities and an Invariance Principle for a Class of Weakly Dependent Random Variables

The aim of this paper is to investigate the properties of the maximum of partial sums for a class of weakly dependent random variables which includes the instantaneous filters of a Gaussian sequence having a positive continuous spectral density. The results are used to obtain an invariance principle for strongly mixing sequences of random variables in the absence of stationarity or strong mixing rates. An additional condition is imposed to the coefficients of interlaced mixing. The results are applied to linear processes of strongly mixing sequences.     

一类二维微分差分方程具有多个周期的周期解的一个条件

本文给出二维微分差分方程{dx/dt=f(x(t-1),y(t-1),dy/dt=g(x,y,x(t-1),y(t-1))具有周期为4/2n 1,4/2n-1,4/2n-3,…,4/7,4/5,4/3,4的周期解的一个条件，并在定理的证明过程中给出了如何求出其相应周期解的方法。     

On Propagation of Germ Invariance

We prove the theorems on propagation of C -solution germ invariance for one class of weakly nonlinear differential equations. This class includes generalized versions of KdV, NLS, Boussinesq and other equations of spreading nonlinear waves.     

Modal Interpretations and Relativity

A proof is given, at a greater level of generality than previous no-go theorems, of the impossibility of formulating a modal interpretation that exhibits serious Lorentz invariance at the fundamental level. Particular attention is given to modal interpretations of the type proposed by Bub.     

Quantum Ashkin-Teller model near the decoupling limit

The critical properties and the spectrum of the quantum Ashkin-Teller chain are investigated by perturbation expansion around the exactly soluble Ising decoupling limit. The critical exponents are found to satisfy the hyperscaling relation and they are consistent with the conjectured values. The critical Hamiltonian in the finite-size scaling limit is transformed into a two-band spin-1/2 Fermi system, where the interaction energy in first order is the product of the band magnetizations. The complete spectrum is shown to exhibit a conformal structure with infinite primary operators, the anomalous dimensions of which are consistent with a Gaussian form.     

On functional central limit theorems for certain continuous time parameter stochastic processes

Weak invariance principles for certain continuous time parameter stochastic processes (including martingales and reverse martingales) are considered. Weak convergence in the sup-norm metric is also studied.
