The influence of phosphate glass electrode in the configuration of resistive plate chamber has been studied using GEANT3.21
Monte Carlo code. Bakelite electrodes were replaced by phosphate glass electrodes, as these glass materials have low bulk
resistivity, are portable and easy to handle. These types of RPCs in their compact form of all materials are suitable for
high rate background environment. We find that these new types of RPCs give little higher response to γ-rays and e+/e− particles, both for single-and double gap RPCs. The results of simulation are discussed.

This article reported the electrochemical performance of a novel cabon microsphere/MnO2 nanosheets (CMS/MnO2) composite prepared by a in situ self-limiting deposition method under hydrothermal condition. The results of scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) revealed that MnO2 nanosheets homogeneously grew onto the surface of CMS to form a loose-packed and dandelion-like core/shell microstructure. The unique microstructure plays a basic role in electrochemical accessibility of electrolyte to MnO2 active material and a fast diffusion rate within the redox phase. The results of cyclic voltammetry, galvanostatic charge/discharge and electrochemical impedance spectrometry indicated that the prepared CMS/MnO2 composite presented high capacitance of 181 F·g−1 and long cycle life of 61% capacity retention after 2000 charge/discharge cycles in 1 mol/L Na2SO4 solution, which show strong promise for high-rate electrochemical capacitive energy storage applications. 相似文献

分析了水稻红莲型粤泰不育系和保持系黄化苗、单核、二核、三核期花药约3000条mRNA,共观察到24条差异带,差异率为0.8%.说明绝大多数mRNA均是组成型表达.24条差异带中约50%的带银染着色深,其余的染色很浅.黄化苗期末能观察到差异带,单核期差异带为4条,二核期7条,三核期11条,另有2条差异带在保持系三核期出现而单核和二核期不存在. 相似文献

Structural and computational biologists often need to measure the similarity of ligand binding conformations. The commonly used root-mean-square deviation (RMSD) is not only ligand-size dependent, but also may fail to capture biologically meaningful binding features. To address these issues, we developed the Contact Mode Score (CMS), a new metric to assess the conformational similarity based on intermolecular protein-ligand contacts. The CMS is less dependent on the ligand size and has the ability to include flexible receptors. In order to effectively compare binding poses of non-identical ligands bound to different proteins, we further developed the eXtended Contact Mode Score (XCMS). We believe that CMS and XCMS provide a meaningful assessment of the similarity of ligand binding conformations. In this contribution we present two procedures to systematically derive timed discrete approximations from continuous models. Both methods are based on a rectangular state space partition and aim at mapping continuous dynamic behaviours described by ODE-systems with switched inputs onto timed state transition systems: In the first approach the transitions between the discrete states are determined by analysing the flow between rectangular cells of the state space. The second one uses numerical integration of the ODE-system between partitions of the boundaries of the cells. The application of both approaches is illustrated by a chemical process example. The paper discusses completeness and consistency properties of the approximation mappings as well as issues of accuracy and computational effort. 相似文献

In this paper the J/ψ→μ^+μ^- reconstruction performance in the CMS experiment at the LHC is studied in detail by using B8→J/ψφ→μμKK events. The reconstruction efficiencies of J/ψ mesons and their decay muons are obtained as a function of the transverse momentum PT and the pseudo-rapidity η. We also study the muon trigger efficiency for this channel with the planned Level-1 trigger and High Level Trigger selection criteria. It was observed that the muon reconstruction efficiency decreases when the two decay muons have a small or large 3D angular separation, which further affects the overall J/ψ reconstruction efficiency. 相似文献

One of the first physics results that CMS will hopefully obtain will be the analysis of heavy quarkonium productions, including the Υ cross-section measurement. Since the Υ production cross-section from p-p collisions is expected to be relatively large, the analysis should be viable with rather small datasets which will be available soon after the start-up of the LHC. This paper describes the methods and plans for measuring the differential cross-section of Y(1S) →μ^+μ- production, by using data to be collected from the CMS detector in the first LHC run. In this study, about 80 thousand Υ are reconstructed corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 6.4 pb^-1 in 10 TeV proton-proton collisions by using Monte Carlo data. The precision of this measurement is estimated to be about 16%, which is limited by the systematic errors. 相似文献

An extensive survey of the literature published in analytical and pharmaceutical chemistry journals has been conducted and analytical methods which were developed and used for the determination of some of the COX-2 inhibitors, a subclass of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) in bulk drugs, formulations, and biological fluids have been reviewed. This review covers the time period from 1999 to present, during which over 140 analytical procedures including chromatographic, spectrometric, electrophoretic and voltammetric techniques were reported.
