本文采用数值方法研究了叶片端导叶对轴流风扇性能的影响。通过与普通开式轴流风扇比较,分析了叶片端导叶对内部流动作用的机理.数值计算结果表明:叶片端导叶的安装位置将影响轴流风扇气动效率,安装叶片端导叶不能提高风扇静压升,但是在压力面安装时能有效地减小风扇叶顶泄漏流与主流的掺混损失;在设计流量下,压力面安装叶片端导叶使泄漏涡的作用范围较小,涡核更靠近吸力面;吸力面安装叶片端导叶弱化了泄漏涡的强度但没有减小泄漏涡的作用范围。 相似文献

This paper presents an evaluation of the capability of turbulence models available in the commercial CFD code FLUENT 6.0 for their application to hydrofoil turbulent boundary layer separation flow at high Reynolds numbers. Four widely applied two‐equation RANS turbulence models were assessed through comparison with experimental data at Reynolds numbers of 8.284×106 and 1.657×107. They were the standard k–εmodel, the realizable k–εmodel, the standard k–ωmodel and the shear‐stress‐transport (SST) k–ωmodel. It has found that the realizable k–εturbulence model used with enhanced wall functions and near‐wall modelling techniques, consistently provides superior performance in predicting the flow characteristics around the hydrofoil. A control volume type numerical methodology for the analysis of steady three‐dimensional rotating flows with heat transfer, in both laminar and turbulent conditions, is implemented and experimentally tested. Non‐axisymmetric momentum and heat transfer phenomena are allowed for. Turbulent transport is alternatively represented through three existing versions of the k–ε model that were adjusted to take into account the turbulence anisotropy promoted by rotation, streamline curvature and thermal buoyancy. Their relative performance is evaluated by comparison of calculated local and global heat balances with those obtained through measurements in a laboratory device. A modified version of the Lam and Bremhorst, low Reynolds number model is seen to give the best results. A preliminary analysis focused on the flow structure and the transfer of heat is reported. Modelling a complex geometry, such as ice roughness, plays a key role for the computational flow analysis over rough surfaces. This paper presents two enhancement ideas in modelling roughness geometry for local flow analysis over an aerodynamic surface. The first enhancement is use of the leading‐edge region of an airfoil as a perturbation to the parabola surface. The reasons for using a parabola as the base geometry are: it resembles the airfoil leading edge in the vicinity of its apex and it allows the use of a lower apparent Reynolds number. The second enhancement makes use of the Fourier analysis for modelling complex ice roughness on the leading edge of airfoils. This method of modelling provides an analytical expression, which describes the roughness geometry and the corresponding derivatives. The factors affecting the performance of the Fourier analysis were also investigated. It was shown that the number of sine–cosine terms and the number of control points are of importance. Finally, these enhancements are incorporated into an automated grid generation method over the airfoil ice accretion surface. The validations for both enhancements demonstrate that they can improve the current capability of grid generation and computational flow field analysis around airfoils with ice roughness. The use of compressive crushing equipment such as gyratory crushers within minerals processing plants can potentially generate large quantities of dust. Remedies to this problem include the retrofitting of shrouds, enclosures, local exhaust ventilation (LEV) systems and water suppression systems. The single or combined application of these systems must be optimised to ensure they operate efficiently. It is desirable that the future design planning of such facilities include integrated dust suppression and/or removal systems to ensure material delivery rates are maintained and the welfare of the workforce is protected. 相似文献

This paper deals with a phenomenon which plays an important role in the phase inversion process of emulsions. This process is governed by the interplay of coalescence of droplets, often leading to double emulsions, and the escape of those internal droplets. The latter process retards the inversion process. Coalescence has been the subject of many studies, contrary to the escape event. This paper addresses the escape process both theoretically and experimentally. The model developed analyses the rate of the escape of internal droplets from the mother droplet via a coalescence process, where the internal flow, as generated by the external flow, generates the viscous force for coalescence. Incomplete mixing in the droplet has been assumed. Experimental data on the escape rate of oil droplets from O/W/O emulsions have been analysed using a Computational Fluid Dynamics approach, where the model as indicated above has been incorporated. Experimental data and simulations compare very well. Data have been compared on varying the size of the inner droplets and the rotational speed of the vessel where the double emulsion has been formed and where the escape took place. 相似文献
