Transparent conducting polycrystalline Al-doped ZnO (AZO) films were deposited on sapphire substrates at substrate temperatures ranging from 200 to 300 °C by pulsed laser deposition (PLD). X-ray diffraction measurement shows that the crystalline quality of AZO films was improved with increased substrate temperature. The electrical and optical properties of the AZO films have been systematically studied via various experimental tools. The room-temperature micro-photoluminescence (µ-PL) spectra show a strong ultraviolet (UV) excitonic emission and weak deep-level emission, which indicate low structural defects in the films. A Raman shift of about 11 cm−1 is observed for the first-order longitudinal-optical (LO) phonon peak for AZO films when compared to the LO phonon peak of bulk ZnO. The Raman spectra obtained with UV resonant excitation at room temperature show multi-phonon LO modes up to third order. Optical response due to free electrons of the AZO films was characterized in the photon energy range from 0.6 to 6.5 eV by spectroscopic ellipsometry (SE). ZnO thin films were grown on (111) CaF2 substrates by magnetron sputtering at room temperature. Structural and optical properties of the ZnO thin films were studied. XRD analysis showed that the ZnO thin films had the (002) preferential orientation. The transmittance of ZnO thin films was over 80% in the visible range. The optical band gap of the ZnO thin films was 3.26 eV. The optical constants (n,k) of the ZnO thin films in the wavelength range 300–1000 nm were obtained by infrared spectroscopic ellipsometry measurement. PL spectra of ZnO thin films showed strong UV near-band-edge emission peak at 376.5 nm and weak visible red emission at 643.49 nm using He–Cd laser as the light source, using a synchrotron radiation light source PL spectra showed three emission peak at 320 nm, 410 nm and 542 nm respectively. 相似文献

Transparent conductors (TCs) are materials, which are characterized by high transmission of light and simultaneously very high electrical DC conductivity. These materials play a crucial role, and made possible numerous applications in the fields of electro-optics, plasmonics, biosensing, medicine, and “green energy”. Modern applications, for example in the field of touchscreen and flexible displays, require that TCs are also mechanically strong and flexible. TC can be broadly classified into two categories: uniform and non-uniform TC. The uniform TC can be viewed as conventional metals (or electron plasmas) with plasma frequency located in the infrared frequency range (e.g. transparent conducting oxides), or ultra-thin metals with large plasma frequency (e.g. graphen). The physics of the nonuniform TC is much more complex, and could involve transmission enhancement due to refraction (including plasmonic), and exotic effects of electron transport, including percolation and fractal effects. This review ties the TC performance to the underlying physical phenomena. We begin with the theoretical basis for studying the various phenomena encountered in TC. Next, we consider the uniform TC, and discuss first the conventional conducting oxides (such as indium tin oxide), reviewing advantages and limitations of these classic uniform electron plasmas. Next, we discuss the potential of single- and multiple-layer graphene as uniform TC. In the part of the paper dealing with non-uniform metallic films, we begin with the review of random metallic networks. The transparency of these networks could be enhanced beyond the classical shading limit by the plasmonic refractive effects. The electrical conduction strongly depends on the network type, and we review first networks made of individual metallic nanowires, where conductivity depends on the inter-wire contact, and the percolation effects. Next, we review the uniform metallic film networks, which are free of the percolation effects and contact problems. In applications that require high-quality electric contact of a TC to an active substrate (such as LED or solar cells), the network performance can be optimized by employing a quasi-fractal structure of the network. We also consider the periodic metallic networks, where active plasmonic refraction leads to the phenomenon of the extraordinary optical transmission. We review the relevant literature on this topic, and demonstrate networks, which take advantage of this strategy (the bio-inspired leaf venation (LV) network, hybrid networks, etc.). Finally, we review “smart” TCs, with an added functionality, such as light interference, metamaterial effects, built-in semiconductors, and their junctions. 相似文献

We propose a method for entangling a system of two-level atoms in photonic crystals. The atoms are assumed to move in void
regions of a photonic crystal. The interaction between the atoms is mediated either via a defect mode or via a resonant dipole-dipole interaction. We show that these interactions can produce pure entangled atomic states. We analyze the problem with parameters typical
for currently existing photonic crystals and Rydberg atoms and we show that the atoms can emerge from photonic crystals in
entangled states. Depending on the linear dimensions of the crystal we estimate that a pair of atoms entangled in a photonic
crystal can be separated by tens of centimeters.

The effects of an ultrathin ZnO intermediate layer deposited at the CZTS/Mo interface on CZTS solar cell performance have been investigated in this work. The ZnO layer inhibits the generation of MoS2 layer and the formation of voids in the CZTS absorber. Consequently, the incorporation of this layer reduces the series resistance and increases the shunt resistance, which boosts photovoltaic conversion efficiency from 1.13% to 4.3%. In the famous 1910 “cinq variables” paper Cartan showed in particular that for maximally nonholonomic rank 2 distributions in ?5 with non-zero covariant binary biquadratic form the dimension of the pseudo-group of local symmetries does not exceed 7 and among such distributions he described the one-parametric family of distributions for which this pseudo-group is exactly 7-dimensional. Using the novel interpretation of the Cartan covariant binary biquadratic form via the classical Wilczynski invariant of curves in projective spaces associated with abnormal extremals of the distributions [4, 27, 28] one can generalize this Cartan result to rank 2 distributions in ?n satisfying certain genericity assumption, called maximality of class, for arbitrary n ≥ 5.In the present paper for any rank 2 distribution of maximal class with at least one nonvanishing generalized Wilczynski invariants we construct the canonical frame on a (2n — 3)-dimensional bundle and describe explicitly the moduli spaces of the most symmetric models. Several passive solid state dosemeters, such as Gafchromic™ films and thermoluminescence (TL) detectors, are used to estimate and monitor patient skin doses in interventional radiology. To determine the suitability of XR-TypeR Gafchromic™ films and of detectors based on TL materials: pellets, chips and foils to measure skin dose, an intercomparison exercise has been organized within European Dosimetry Radiation Group – Working Group 12 “European Medical ALARA Network” (EURADOS WG12). To test response detectors were exposed to X-ray beams of energies and qualities applied clinically. A blind test was also performed to investigate the accuracy of the dose estimate by detectors exposed to unknown doses. We found the response of films to be strongly dependent on beam quality and filtration (increasing by up to 80% with respect to reference beam quality). The response of TL detectors was found to be less dependent on beam quality (less than 25% variation), with TL foils showing less than 10% variation with respect to reference beam quality. To accurately estimate patient skin doses in interventional radiology it is important to choose the quality of the calibration beam to be as close as possible to the quality of beams actually applied in clinical work. 相似文献
