Kefir grains originate from the Caucasus region and are used for preparing beverages using sugar solution, milk, and fruit juice. As long as they are formed by a microbial consortium useful in the intestine, the produced drinks can be called probiotics. The aim of this study was to determine the antimicrobial activity during kefir fermentation in sugar broth. Fermentations with three kinds of carbohydrates (molasses, demerara sugar, and brown sugar) as carbon source were carried out. Brown sugar promoted the greatest antimicrobial activities, producing inhibition halos corresponding to 35, 14, 12, 14, and 14 mm for Candida albicans, Salmonella typhi, Shigella sonnei, Staphylococcus aureus, and Escherichia coli, respectively. Different carbon source concentrations and the time of fermentation influenced the size of the inhibition halos of the pathogenic microorganisms.  相似文献

A high-enthalpy source (HES) has been developed in Rennes either to heat gases up to 2000 K in local thermodynamic equilibrium (LTE) or to generate hypersonic expansions. The HES prototype has been associated with a high-resolution Bruker IFS 120 HR Fourier transform spectrometer to record emission spectra of hot gases, in LTE conditions. A series of emission spectra of methane has been obtained at 1005, 1365, 1485, 1625 and 1820 K in the pentad spectral region located around 3000 cm−1, at Doppler-limited resolution (0.02 cm−1). Spectra have been corrected for the transmission function that strongly affects the infrared radiation emitted by the hot gas. Line-integrated absorption cross sections have been extracted from the corrected spectra using an improved procedure for the calculation of the total partition function Q of methane at high temperature. This calculation included anharmonicity and rovibrational interaction effects, and was based on a multi-resolution fully converged direct partition sum. It has been shown that, as the temperature increases above 1000 K, the commonly used harmonic and rigid rotor double approximation to estimate Q leads to underestimated values.  相似文献

A general smooth and convex yield function is proposed, able to model the particular behavior of geomaterials, particularly rock materials that are characterized by a linear or parabolic Mohr's envelope, and a particular shape in the deviatoric plane. These characteristics are defined by two functions: the equation of the criterion in the meridian plane and the extension ratio, which are integrated in a general equation ensuring convexity and smoothness of the yield function, whatever the characteristic functions. This expression is interesting, because it allows a straightforward development of a constitutive model based on triaxial tests, in extension and compression. It also allows the development of smooth criteria corresponding to the Mohr–Coulomb criterion and the H?k–Brown criterion, the latter typical of rock mechanics. To cite this article: S. Maïolino, C. 贵州石漠化地区棕黄色粘性土团聚体稳定性研究   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
   以贵州省普定县碳酸盐岩石漠化研究试验区(陈旗村)的棕黄色粘性土为研究对象,考虑了初始含水率和浸润时间两个影响因素,对研究区土体中占绝对优势的>5mm的大颗粒团聚体进行了共计16组湿筛法试验。结果表明:棕黄色粘性土团聚体遇水破裂的过程主要发生在被浸润初期,初始含水率越小的土壤,经雨水浸润后,大颗粒团聚体破裂得越快越彻底;而原本就比较湿润的土体,团聚体的稳定性则较好。因此,对碳酸盐岩石地区石漠化的防治,应着重考虑气候长期干燥、蒸发量对水土流失的影响。

Abstract

Surfactant-mediated extraction (SME), pressurized liquid extraction (PLE), and enzyme-assisted extraction (EAE) have been compared to improve the isolation of phlorotannins from the brown algae Lobophora variegata. Enzymatic treatment with Alcalase 2.4?L FG, Carezyme 4500?L, protease from Streptomyces griseus, pectinase from Aspergillus niger, Celluclast 1.5?L, protease from Bacillus licheniformis; surfactant extraction with triacetin and guaiacol and PLE with ethanol:water as extracting solvent, have been studied in terms of total phenolic content by the Folin–Ciocalteu method and total phlorotannin content using the DMBA assay. The results showed that SME yields the highest amount of phenols and phlorotannins by using food grade guaiacol as the surfactant. An extraction protocol was developed to maximize the amount of extract obtained from L. variegata. The effects of various parameters such as the type of surfactant, efficacy of surfactant, and optimum pH, on the extraction efficiency of polyphenols were examined. The simultaneous use of the enzyme and surfactant was also investigated. However, a synergistic effect between the enzymes and the surfactant for the extraction of polyphenols has not been observed. Considering total phenols and total phlorotannins in the extract, the extraction yield were obtained for total phenols as SME?>?EAE?>?PLE and for total phlorotannins as SME?>?PLE?>?EAE.  相似文献
