2-Cocycles of original deformative Schr?dinger-Virasoro algebras

Both original and twisted Schr?dinger-Virasoro algebras, and also their deformations were introduced and investigated in a series of papers by Henkel, Roger and Unterberger. In the present paper we aim at determining the 2-cocycles of original deformative Schr?dinger-Virasoro algebras. Markov property of continuous dislocation band propagation

Tensile tests were carried out by deforming polycrystalline samples of substitutional Al–2.5%Mg alloy at room temperature for a range of strain rates. The Portevin–Le Chatelier (PLC) effect was observed throughout the strain rate regime. The deformation bands in this region are found to be of type A in nature. From the analysis of the experimental stress time series data we could infer that the dynamics of type A dislocation band propagation is a Markov process.     

计算机辅助几何设计中极小曲面造型的研究进展

极小曲面在工程领域有着广泛应用,因此将其引入计算机辅助几何设计领域具有重要意义.详细概述了近年来计算机辅助几何设计领域中极小曲面造型的研究工作,按照造型方法的不同,可将现有工作分为精确造型方法和逼近造型方法两类.精确造型方法主要包括两个部分:某些特殊极小曲面的控制网格表示与构造;等温参数多项式极小曲面的挖掘与性质.逼近造型方法主要包括3个部分t基于数值计算的逼近方法;基于线性偏微分方程的逼近方法;基于能量函数最优化的逼近方法.最后对这些方法进行了分析比较,并讨论了极小曲面造型中有待进一步解决的问题.     

具有可选服务的M/M/l排队模型的豫解集

运用线性算子及其共轭算子的谱之间的关系,研究具有可选服务的M/M/1排队模型主算子的豫解集,并得到在虚轴上除了零外其它所有点都属于该算子的豫解集.     

A posteriori error estimates by recovered gradients in parabolic finite element equations

This paper considers a posteriori error estimates by averaged gradients in second order parabolic problems. Fully discrete schemes are treated. The theory from the elliptic case as to when such estimates are asymptotically exact, on an element, is carried over to the error on an element at a given time. The basic principle is that the elliptic theory can be extended to the parabolic problems provided the time-step error is smaller than the space-discretization error. Numerical illustrations confirming the theoretical results are given. Our results are not practical in the sense that various constants can not be estimated realistically. They are conceptual in nature. AMS subject classification (2000)  65M60, 65M20, 65M15     

On the pfaffianized-KP equation with self-consistent sources

A new procedure called ‘source generation’ is applied to the pfaffianized KP equation. As a result, the pfaffianized-KP equation with self-consistent sources (ESCS) is obtained. This coupled system cannot only be reduced to the pfaffianized KP equation, but also reduced to the KP equation with self-consistent sources (KPESCS). So the pfaffianized-KP ESCS can be viewed as a pfaffian version of the KPESCS, which indicates the commutativity of the ‘source generation’ procedure and pfaffianization.     

On Harmonic Majorization of the Martin Function at Infinity in a Cone

This paper shows that some characterizations of the harmonic majorization of the Martin function for domains having smooth boundaries also hold for cones.     

Analytic and harmonic maps into a topological space

The relationship between the harmonicity and analyticity of a continuous map from the open unit disc to the underlying space of a real algebra is investigated.     

Determination of Band Structure Parameters and the Quasi‐Particle Gap of CdSe Quantum Dots by Cyclic Voltammetry

Band structure parameters such as the conduction band edge, the valence band edge and the quasi‐particle gap of diffusing CdSe quantum dots (Q‐dots) of various sizes were determined using cyclic voltammetry. These parameters are strongly dependent on the size of the Q‐dots. The results obtained from voltammetric measurements are compared to spectroscopic and theoretical data. The fit obtained to the reported calculations based on the semi‐empirical pseudopotential method (SEPM)—especially in the strong size‐confinement region, is the best reported so far, according to our knowledge. For the smallest CdSe Q‐dots, the difference between the quasi‐particle gap and the optical band gap gives the electron–hole Coulombic interaction energy (J_e1,h1). Interband states seen in the photoluminescence spectra were verified with cyclic voltammetry measurements.     

MULTIPLE POSITIVE SOLUTIONS TO SOME SECOND-ORDER m-POINT BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEMS

Multiplicity of positive solutions to some second order m-point boundary value problems are considered. By fixed-point theorems in a cone, some new results are obtained. The associated Green’s function of these problems are also given.
