Polydifferentials and the deformation functor of curves with automorphisms

We give a relation between the dimension of the tangent space of the deformation functor of curves with automorphisms and the Galois module structure of the space of 2-holomorphic differentials. We prove a homological version of the local-global principle similar to the one of J. Bertin and A. Mézard. Let G be a cyclic subgroup of the group of automorphisms of a curve X, so that the order of G is equal to the characteristic. By using the results of S. Nakajima on the Galois module structure of the space of 2-holomorphic differentials, we compute the dimension of the tangent space of the deformation functor.     

The three space problem in topological groups

We study compact, countably compact, pseudocompact, and functionally bounded sets in extensions of topological groups. A property P is said to be a three space property if, for every topological group G and a closed invariant subgroup N of G, the fact that both groups N and G/N have P implies that G also has P. It is shown that if all compact (countably compact) subsets of the groups N and G/N are metrizable, then G has the same property. However, the result cannot be extended to pseudocompact subsets, a counterexample exists under p=c. Another example shows that extensions of groups do not preserve the classes of realcompact, Dieudonné complete and μ-spaces: one can find a pseudocompact, non-compact Abelian topological group G and an infinite, closed, realcompact subgroup N of G such that G/N is compact and all functionally bounded subsets of N are finite. Several examples given in the article destroy a number of tempting conjectures about extensions of topological groups.     

On the torsion of Jacobians of principal modular curves of level 3<Superscript><Emphasis Type="Italic">n</Emphasis></Superscript>

We demonstrate that the 3-power torsion points of the Jacobians of the principal modular curves X(3ⁿ) are fixed by the kernel of the canonical outer Galois representation of the pro-3 fundamental group of the projective line minus three points. The proof proceeds by demonstrating the curves in question satisfy a two-part criterion given by Anderson and Ihara. Two proofs of the second part of the criterion are provided; the first relies on a theorem of Shimura, while the second uses the moduli interpretation. Received: 30 September 2005     

An explosion point space without the fixed point property

In 1988 A. Gutek proved that there exist one-point connectifications of hereditarily disconnected spaces that do not have the fixed point property. We improve on this result by constructing a one-point connectification of a totally disconnected space without the fixed point property.     

Li2、LiH的激发态和Li2H的基态结构与势能函数

使用“对称性匹配簇-组态相互作用”方法,对Li2分子三重态的第一激发态、LiH分子的基态、单重态的第一和第二激发态的几何构型与谐振频率进行了优化计算.利用“群操作求和”方法分别对这4个态进行单点能扫描计算,并拟合出了相应各态的Murrell-Sorbie势能函数.使用多种方法对Li2H分子的基态结构进行优化,并用优选出的密度泛函(B3P86)方法对该分子进行了进一步的频率计算.结果发现Li2H分子的基态稳态结构为C2v构型,在此基础上用多体项展式理论导出了它的解析势能函数,其等值势能图准确再现了Li2H分子的结构特征和离解能.首次报导了该分子对称伸缩振动等值势能图中存在的两个对称鞍点,对应于反应LiH Li→Li2H,活化能大约为18.7×4.184 KJ/mol.     

On simultaneous confidence intervals for all contrasts in the means of the intraclass correlation model with missing data

In this paper, we consider simultaneous confidence intervals for all contrasts in the means when the observations are missing at random in the intraclass correlation model. An exact test statistic for the equality of the means and Scheffé, Bonferroni and Tukey types of simultaneous confidence intervals are given by an extension of Bhargava and Srivastava [On Tukey's confidence intervals for the contrasts in the means of the intraclass correlation model, J. Royal Statist. Soc. B35 (1973) 147-152] when the missing observations are of the monotone type. Finally, numerical results of simultaneous confidence intervals are presented.     

Invariant measures for equicontinuous semigroups of continuous transformations of a compact Hausdorff space

Equicontinuous semigroups of transformations of a compact Hausdorff space and their sets of all invariant (Borel, regular and probabilistic) measures are studied. Conditions equivalent to the existence of at least one invariant measure are given. The (algebraic and topological) structure of the set of invariant measures is researched.     

H原子与CO2分子碰撞的化学反应与能量转移

用时间分辨傅立叶红外发射光谱的方法对H原子与CO2分子的碰撞动力学进行了实验研究．用紫外激光光解的方法分别制备出三个不同平动能为174．7、241．0和306．2 kJ／mol的氢原子,并引发H CO2→OH CO反应．观察到了反应的产物,即振动激发的CO (v≤2)．同时也看到了在H原子与CO2分子的碰撞中发生高效的T- V能量转移．CO2的反对称伸缩模的最高振动能级为v=4．化学反应与能量转移的速率之比大约为10．     

UV/H2O2氧化降解甲基叔丁基醚(MTBE)的试验研究

采用UV／H2O2技术对污染水体中的MTBE进行了氧化降解试验，考察了不同MTBE初始浓度，不同H2O2浓度，不同pH值，不同波长的紫外光对降解效果的影响，以及不同Cl^-、HCO3^-浓度的抑制作用．结果表明，在室温条件下，当紫外光波长为254nm，H2O2为15mmol／L，pH为3．0时对起始浓度为1mmol／L的MTBE具有较好的降解效果；反应60min，MTBE去除率可达97．6％．实验证明，UV／H2O2氧化技术是降解MTBE的一种有效方法．
