A series of organically modified sol–gel films with various acceptor groups were prepared and characterized. All the chromophores

Four new azo-based supramolecular materials containing thiacalixarene core substituted by variable alkoxy groups ( TFA1 – TFA4 ) have been designed and synthesized for the mesomorphic and photoswitching properties. The liquid crystalline behavior were accomplished by using DSC, POM, and XRD studies. All azo-based thiacalixarene based materials with short and higher chain length display columnar hexagonal mesophase with broad temperature range. The thermal behavior of all the materials was investigated by DSC and TGA study. The structural and conformational study of the lower rim functionalized materials was confirmed by using different techniques. These thiacalixarene moulded liquid crystalline compounds shows columnar self-assembly type behavior and higher thermal stability. The introduction of bi-substituted azo-ester network towards the lower rim of thiacalixarene core has impact on the electron delocalization and liquid crystalline properties. The photoswitching properties suggested cis and trans azo-isomerization under radiation of UV light and higher thermal back relaxation time. The mesogenic behaviour of compound TFA2 and TFA4 were demolished by the influence of cis and trans isomerization. The structure-property correlation is studied to understand the variation in mesogenic properties with the substitution of variable alkoxy side chain. 相似文献

The aim of this study was to synthesize novel enaminonitrile derivatives starting from 2-aminobenzimidazole and utilize this derivative for the preparation of novel heterocyclic compounds and assess their function for biological activity screening. The key precursor N-(1H-benzo[d]imidazol-2-yl)carbonohydrazonoyl dicyanide (2) was prepared in pyridine by coupling of diazotized 2-aminobenzimidazole (1) with malononitrile. Compound 2 was subjected to react with various secondary amines such as piperidine, morpholine, piperazine, diphenylamine, N-methylglucamine, and diethanolamine in boiling ethanol to give the acrylonitriles (2Z)-2-((1H-benzo[d]imidazol-2-yl)diazenyl)-3-amino-3-(piperidin-1-yl)acrylonitrile (3), (2Z)-2-((1H-benzo[d]imidazol-2-yl)diazenyl)-3-amino-3-morpholinoacrylonitrile (4), (2Z)-2-((1H-benzo[d]imidazol-2-yl)diazenyl)-3-amino-3-(piperazin-1-yl)acrylonitrile (5), (2Z)-2-((1H-benzo[d]imidazol-2-yl)diazenyl)-3-amino-3-(diphenylamino)acrylonitrile (6), (2Z)-2-((1H-benzo[d]imidazol-2-yl)diazenyl)-3-amino-3-(methyl((2S,3R,4R,5R)-2,3,4,5,6-pentahydroxyhexyl)amino)acrylonitrile (7), and (2Z)-2-((1H-benzo[d]imidazol-2-yl)diazenyl)-3-amino-3-(bis(2-hydroxyethyl)amino)acrylonitrile (8), respectively. It has been found that the behaviour of nitrile derivative 2 towards hydrazine hydrate to the creation of 4-((1H-benzo[d]imidazol-2-yl)diazenyl)-1H-pyrazole-3,5-diamine (9). The reaction of malononitrile with compound 2 in an ethanolic solution catalyzed with sodium ethoxide afforded 4-amino-1-(1H-benzo[d]imidazol-2-yl)-6-imino-1,6-dihydropyridazine-3,5-dicarbonitrile (11). Moreover, malononitrile reacted with 7 in a boiling ethanolic sodium ethoxide solution to give 2-(5-((1H-benzo[d]imidazol-2-yl)diazenyl)-4-amino-6-(methyl((2S,3R,4R,5R)-2,3,4,5,6-pentahydroxyhexyl)amino)pyrimidin-2-yl)acetonitrile (14). Heating 7 in boiling acetic anhydride and pyridine afforded (2R,3R,4R,5S)-6-(((1E)-2-((1-acetyl-1H-benzo[d]imidazol-2-yl)diazenyl)-1-(N-acetylacetamido)-2-cyanovinyl)(methyl)amino)hexane-1,2,3,4,5-pentayl pentaacetate (15). When compound 15 is heated for a long time in refluxing DMF including a catalytic of TEA, cyclization occurs to give the corresponding (2R,3R,4R,5S)-6-((1-acetyl-3-((1-acetyl-1H-benzo[d]imidazol-2-yl)diazenyl)-4-amino-6-oxo-1,6-dihydropyridin-2-yl)(methyl)amino)hexane-1,2,3,4,5-pentayl pentaacetate (16). In addition, triethyl orthoformate was reacted with compound 7 in the presence of acetic anhydride to afford the corresponding ethoxymethyleneamino derivative (2R,3R,4R,5S)-6-(((1E)-2-((1-acetyl-1H-benzo[d]imidazol-2-yl)diazenyl)-2-cyano-1-(((E) ethoxymethylene)amino)vinyl)(methyl)amino)hexane-1,2,3,4,5-pentayl pentaacetate (17). Also, it has been found that heating a mixture of 7 with DMF/DMA in anhydrous xylene yielded compound (1E)-N'-((1E)-2-((1H-benzo[d]imidazol-2-yl)diazenyl)-2-cyano-1-(methyl((2S,3R,4R,5R)-2,3,4,5,6-pentahydroxyhexyl)amino)vinyl)-N,N-dimethylformimidamide (18). In addition, compound 7, when reacted with several acid anhydrides, allowed the matching phthalimide derivatives 19–26. The results showed that compound 14 has significantly higher ABTS and antitumor activities than the other compounds. Molecular modelling was also studied for compounds 22 and 24. The viability of four many cell lines—the African green monkey kidney epithelial cells (VERO), human breast adenocarcinoma cell line (MCF-7), human lung fibroblast cell line (WI-38), and human hepatocellular liver carcinoma cell line (HepG2) was examined to determine the antitumor activities of the newly synthesized compounds. Also, it was found that compounds 9, 11, 15, 16, 22, 23, 24 and 25 are strong against HepG2 cell lines, while 16, 22, and 25 are strong against WI-38 cell lines. Moreover, it was also found that compounds 16 and 22 are strong against VERO cell lines. On the other hand, compounds 7, 14, 15, 16, and 22 are strong while the rest of the other compounds are moderate against the MCF-7 cell line. The result of docking showed that compound 24 got stabilized inside the pocket with a very promising binding score of ? 8.12 through hydrogen bonds with Arg184 and Lys179, respectively. 相似文献

The reaction-based fluorescent sensors have attracted increasing attention in the past decades. However, the application of these sensors for accurate sensing was significantly retarded by the background fluorescence from the sensors themselves. In this work, we demonstrated a novel strategy that the background fluorescence of the sensor could be completely eliminated by the combined effect of multiple fluorescence quenching groups. Based on this new strategy, as proof-of-principle study, a fluorescent sensor (CuFS) for Cu2+ was judiciously developed. In CuFS, three types of fluorescence quenching groups were directly tethered to a commonly used coumarin fluorophore. The fluorescence of coumarin fluorophore in CuFS was completely suppressed by the combined effect of these fluorescence quenching groups. Upon treatment with 22 μM Cu2+, sensor CuFS achieved a dramatic fluorescence enhancement (fluorescence intensity enhanced up to 811-fold) centered at 469 nm. The detection limits was determined to be 12.3 nM. The fluorescence intensity enhancement also showed a good linearity with the Cu2+ concentration in the range of 12.3 nM to 2 μM. By fabricating test strips, sensor CuFS can be utilized as a simple tool to detect Cu2+ in water samples. Furthermore, the fluorescent sensor was successfully applied in detecting different concentration of Cu2+ in living cells. 相似文献

The synthesis of heterocyclic azo‐dyes via conventional heating and microwave (MW) heating was investigated. From a sequence of reactions starting from cyanoacetic acid, 4‐arylazo‐2H‐pyrazol‐3‐ylamines and 4‐arylazo‐2‐phenyl‐2H‐pyrazol‐3‐ylamines were obtained. The structures these compounds were obtained by inspection of spectroscopic and analytical techniques including 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy, IR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and elemental analysis. Mixed cyclisations have been performed to give phthalocyanine-naphthalocyanine hybrids bearing solubilising substituents. Reactivity differences between the two phthalonitrile precursors result in inefficient mixed-macrocyclisation under standard, non-templating conditions leading to predominant formation of symmetrical phthalocyanine. Templated mixed-macrocyclisation leads to the hybrids. However, the reaction proceeds with unexpected selectivity with only one of the possible 2:2 products observed. 相似文献

As one of the most promising materials for the construction of desirable solid-state fluorescent system, new solid-state fluorescent host-guest system, which consists of the imidazo[4,5-a]naphthalene-type fluorescent hosts 2 and sterically hindered guest molecules were designed and prepared. The crystals of 2 exhibit sensitive colour change and drastic fluorescence enhancement behaviour upon polyethers (diethylene glycol dimethyl ether (DGDM), diethylene glycol diethyl ether (DGDE) and diethylene glycol dibutyl ether (DGDB)) or tert-butyl alcohol. A comparison of the X-ray crystal structures of the guest-free and polyether- and tert-butyl alcohol-inclusion compounds indicates that the enclathrated polyether or tert-butyl alcohol molecule decrease the π-stacking between hosts and enlarge the distance between the host-host aromatic planes. On the bases of the spectral data and the crystal structures, the effects of the enclathrated sterically hindered guest on the drastic solid-state fluorescence enhancement behaviour of the host-guest crystals are discussed. 相似文献

The solid‐solid reactions of some electron‐donors with sulfanilic acid in the presence of solid sodium nitrite afford azo dyes by self‐catalyzed diazotization of sulfanilic acid (2) under solvent‐free conditions with moderate yields. Also the reactions of some electron‐donors with diazotization of o‐nitroaniline (5), m‐nitroaniline (6) and p‐nitroaniline (7) in the presence of solid sodium nitrite catalyzed by p‐toluenesulfonic acid (PTSA) afford azo dyes under solvent‐free conditions in good yields. The well-defined phenylazo indazole-terminated polystyrene (PS) was successfully prepared via reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) polymerization of styrene (St) mediated by a novel chain transfer agent (CTA) bearing phenylazo indazole moieties in the Z group, benzyl-5-(4-(dimethylamino)phenylazo) indazole-1-carbodithioate (BPCD). The fluorescence emission of BPCD and the phenylazo indazole-terminated PS in chloroform (CHCl3) before and after the 365 nm ultraviolet irradiation was investigated. Interestingly, the fluorescence intensities of BPCD and the phenylazo indazole-terminated PS in CHCl3 were both sensitive to the 365 nm ultraviolet irradiation. The fluorescence intensities of these solutions increased with the irradiation time and reached maximum at 110 min. The light-driven fluorescence enhancement of BPCD and the phenylazo indazole-terminated PS were both attributed to the formation of spherical aggregate originated from the trans-cis isomerization of azobenzene moieties in BPCD and PS chain, which was confirmed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), 1H NMR, UV and dynamic light scattering (DLS) spectra. 相似文献
