We investigate the time-modulated electronic and spin transport properties through two T-shaped three-quantum-dot molecules embedded in an Aharonov-Bohm(A-B) interferometer. By using the Keldysh non-equilibrium Green's function technique, the photon-assisted spin-dependent average current is analyzed. The T-shaped three-quantum-dot molecule A-B interferometer exhibits excellent controllability in the average current resonance spectra by adjusting the interdot coupling strength, Rashba spin-orbit coupling strength, magnetic flux, and amplitude of the time-dependent external field.Efficient spin filtering and multiple electron-photon pump functions are exploited in the multi-quantum-dot molecule A-B interferometer by a time-modulated external field.  相似文献

The 2D Pauli equation with Hulthén potential for spin-1/2 particle in the presence of Aharonov-Bohm (AB) field is solved analytically, on the assumption that an effective approximation is used for the centrifugal term.Singular and regular solutions of the problem are obtained. It is shown that the AB field lifts the degeneracy of the energy levels. The range of the flux parameter for which singular solutions are allowed is modified compared to the pure AB case. When the screening parameter vanishes, it is shown that the obtained energy spectrum becomes the same as that of the Aharonov-Bohm Coulomb problem.  相似文献

For a Dirac particle in an Aharonov-Bohm (AB) potential, it is shown that the spin interaction (SI) operator which governs the transitions in the spin sector of the first order S-matrix is related to one of the generators of rotation in the spin space of the particle. This operator, which is given by the projection of the spin operator Σ along the direction of the total momentum of the system, and the two operators constructed from the projections of the Σ operator along the momentum transfer and the z-directions close the SU(2) algebra. It is suggested, then, that these two directions of the total momentum and the momentum transfer form some sort of natural intrinsic directions in terms of which the spin dynamics of the scattering process at first order can be formulated conveniently. A formulation and an interpretation of the conservation of helicity at first order using the spin projection operators along these directions is presented.  相似文献

We study a purely gravitational Aharonov-Bohm effect. The space-time curvature is concentrated in the quasiregular singularity of a cosmic string, outside of which space-time is (locally) flat. The symmetries of this field configuration are described by the groupoid symmetries rather than by the usual group symmetries. The groupoid in question is formed by homotopy classes of piecewise smooth paths in the cosmic string region. A gravitational counterpart of the Aharonov-Bohm effect occurs if the symmetry of the system, with respect to the groupoid action, is broken down.  相似文献

Quark confinement and the fractional quantum Hall effect   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Working in the physics of Wilson factor and Aharonov-Bohm effect, we find in the fluxtube-quark system the topology of a baryon consisting of three heavy flavor quarks resembles that of the fractional quantum Hall effect (FQHE) in condensed matter. This similarity yields the result that the constituent quarks of baryon have the ``filling factor' 1/3, thus the previous conjecture that quark confinement is a correlation effect is confirmed. Moreover, by deriving a Hamiltonian of the system analogous to that of FQHE, we predict an energy gap for the ground state of a heavy three-quark system.  相似文献

We present a simplified derivation of the fact that the set of gauge equivalence classes or moduli space of flat connections (potentials) in the abelian Aharonov-Bohm effect, is isomorphic to the circle. The length of this circle is the absolute value of the electric charge.  相似文献

No Heading We study the Dirac equation in 3+1 dimensions with non-minimal coupling to an isotropic radial three-vector potential and in the presence of a static electromagnetic potential. The space component of the electromagnetic potential has angular (non-central) dependence such that the Dirac equation separates completely in spherical coordinates. We obtain solutions for the case where the three-vector potential is linear in the radial coordinate (Dirac oscillator) and the time component of the electro-magnetic potential vanishes. The relativistic energy spectrum and spinor eigenfunctions are obtained.  相似文献

No Heading The equations of the electromagnetic sector of the Evans field theory are given in terms of differential geometry and are based on the well-known structure relations and Bianchi identities. The equations thus complete Einsteins basic axiom, that physics is derived from geometry, and extend the axiom to electrodynamics. Precise tests are suggested for the theory using the interaction of circularly polarized electromagnetic radiation with a non-relativistic electron beam. These tests include; the inverse Faraday effect (IFE), radiatively induced fermion resonance (RFR), and the electromagnetic Aharonov-Bohm (EMAB) effect.  相似文献

The Aharonov-Bohm effect shows that the vacuum is structured, and that there can exist a finite vector potentialA in the vacuum when the electric field strengthE and magnetic flux densityB are zero. It is shown on this basis that gauge theory produces energy inherent in the vacuum. The latter is considered as the internal space of the gauge theory, containing a field made up of components ofA, to which a local gauge transformation is applied to produce the electromagnetic field tensor, a vacuum charge/current density, and a topological charge g. Local gauge transformation is the result of special relativity and introduces spacetime curvature, which gives rise to an electromagnetic field whose source is a vacuum charge current density made up ofA and g. The field carries energy to a device which can in principle extract energy from the vacuum. The development is given forU(1) andO(3) invariant gauge theory applied to electrodynamics. We review the role of the momentum of the electromagnetic (EM) fields P e in several areas of modern physics. P e represents the EM interaction in equations for matter and light waves propagation. As an application of wave propagation properties, a first order optical experiment which tests the speed of light in moving rarefied gases is presented. Within a classical context, the momentum P e appears also in proposed tests of EM interactions involving open currents and angular momentum conservation laws. Moreover, P e is the link to the unitary vision of the quantum effects of the Aharonov-Bohm (AB) type and, for several of these effects, the strength of P e is evaluated. These effects provide a quantum approach to evaluate the limit of the photon mass m ph. A new effect of the AB type, together with the scalar AB effect, provides the basis for table-top experiments which yield the limit m ph = 9.4 × 10−52g, a value that improves the results achieved with recent classical and quantum approaches.   相似文献
