A monitoring system was developed to gain information on the present level of pollutants in the Lake Balaton, Hungary. Determination of 13 polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and inorganic pollutants (mostly toxic metals) in aerosol, precipitation and sediment samples was carried out. The aim of collecting aerosol and precipitate samples in the same site at the same period was to determine the distribution of elements in two depositions. For the fractionation by particle size, aerosols were sampled by a cascade impactor. A simple three-stage sequential leaching procedure was applied to establish the distribution of metals among environmentally mobile, bound to carbonates and oxides, and environmentally immobile, (bound to silicates) fractions in aerosols. Sediment samples were collected from 17 different sites inside of the lake and 10 sites at harbors at 30–70 cm in depth. Core samples were cut to 10-cm pieces, dried at room temperature, and finally passed through a 63-μm sieve. Total concentrations of elements were determined by atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS) after an acidic digestion. The concentrations of PAHs were determined by HPLC method with fluorescence detection.In aerosol samples collected from September 6, 2002 to January 26, 2003, concentration of Cd was <0.1 μg/m3, and the majority of Cd has been found in the mobile fraction. Cadmium was associated to particles between 0.25 and 2 μm indicating the anthropogenic origin. Similar distribution of Pb was obtained in all seasons, and the highest concentration of Pb was found as 8.6 ng/m3 in particle size of 0.7 and 1.4 μm. Results of total concentration of elements of bottom sediments of the Lake Balaton and harbors were compared to Interim Sediment Quality Guideline (ISQG) values and the Probable Effect Level (PEL) values. Data showed that the average concentrations of elements were usually less than those of ISQGs and other background data for soils and geochemical values. The sediment is not polluted and its disposal is feasible. There is no direct correlation between the concentration of elements deposited onto the surface of the lake from dry and wet deposition and the upper part of the sediment. So, from the budget of the deposition, the concentration of elements in the upper layer of the sediment cannot be predicted.Seasonal changes of the concentration of PAHs in aerosol was observed, samples collected at winter contained the highest values. In December–January 2002/2003, the wet deposition was found as 64 μg/m2 period. Among the individual compounds, the wet deposition rate of phenantrane, fluoranthene and pyrene was dominant, while for dry deposition, these compounds were fluoranthene and pyrene. The concentrations of ∑PAHs found for all sites and depth of sediment samples ranged from 11 to 1734 μg/kg dry weight with an average of 132 μg/kg. These values represent a quite low pollution level compared to other sediment with anthropogenic influence. Based on the results, it can be definitely confirmed that the chemical quality of the water and sediment of the Lake Balaton is satisfactory.  相似文献

Three Alkali‐Metal Erbium Thiophosphates: From the Layered Structure of KEr[P2S7] to the Three‐Dimensional Cross‐Linkage in NaEr[P2S6] and Cs3Er5[PS4]6 The three alkali‐metal erbium thiophosphates NaEr[P2S6], KEr[P2S7], and Cs3Er5[PS4] show a small selection of the broad variety of thiophosphate units: from ortho‐thiophosphate [PS4]3? and pyro‐thiophosphate [S3P–S–PS3]4? with phosphorus in the oxidation state +V to the [S3P–PS3]3? anion with a phosphorus‐phosphorus bond (d(P–P) = 221 pm) and tetravalent phosphorus. In spite of all differences, a whole string of structural communities can be shown, in particular for coordination and three‐dimensional linkage as well as for the phosphorus‐sulfur distances (d(P–S) = 200 – 213 pm). So all three compounds exhibit eightfold coordinated Er3+ cations and comparably high‐coordinated alkali‐metal cations (CN(Na+) = 8, CN(K+) = 9+1, and CN(Cs+) ≈ 10). NaEr[P2S6] crystallizes triclinically ( ; a = 685.72(5), b = 707.86(5), c = 910.98(7) pm, α = 87.423(4), β = 87.635(4), γ = 88.157(4)°; Z = 2) in the shape of rods, as well as monoclinic KEr[P2S7] (P21/c; a = 950.48(7), b = 1223.06(9), c = 894.21(6) pm, β = 90.132(4)°; Z = 4). The crystal structure of Cs3Er5[PS4] can also be described monoclinically (C2/c; a = 1597.74(11), b = 1295.03(9), c = 2065.26(15) pm, β = 103.278(4)°; Z = 4), but it emerges as irregular bricks. All crystals show the common pale pink colour typical for transparent erbium(III) compounds.  相似文献

We show a low temperature gas-phase synthesis route to produce faceted aluminum crystals in the aerosol phase. Use of triisobutylaluminum whose decomposition temperature is below the melting point of elemental aluminum enabled us to grow nanocrystals from its vapor. TEM shows both polyhedral crystalline and spherical particle morphologies, but with the addition of an annealing furnace one can significantly enhance the production of just the polyhedral particles. The results on surface passivation with oxygen suggest that these nanocrystals are less pyrophoric than the corresponding spherical aluminum nanoparticles, and combustion tests show an increase in energy release compared to commercial nanoaluminum.  相似文献

A set of 2D finite element numerical simulation of induction heating process for an oxide Czochralski crystal growth system has been made for a range of f=1–100 kHz applied frequency of driving current. It was shown that the frequency selection has a marked effect in all basic induction phenomena, including electromagnetic field distribution, skin depth, coil efficiency, and intensity and structure of heating in the growth setup.  相似文献

This paper studies a fluid queue with coupled input and output. Flows arrive according to a Poisson process, and when n flows are present, each of them transmits traffic into the queue at a rate c/(n+1), where the remaining c/(n+1) is used to serve the queue. We assume exponentially distributed flow sizes, so that the queue under consideration can be regarded as a system with Markov fluid input. The rationale behind studying this queue lies in ad hoc networks: bottleneck links have roughly this type of sharing policy. We consider four performance metrics: (i) the stationary workload of the queue, (ii) the queueing delay, i.e., the delay of a ‘packet’ (a fluid particle) that arrives at the queue at an arbitrary point in time, (iii) the flow transfer delay, i.e., the time elapsed between arrival of a flow and the epoch that all its traffic has been put into the queue, and (iv) the sojourn time, i.e., the flow transfer time increased by the time it takes before the last fluid particle of the flow is served. For each of these random variables we compute the Laplace transform. The corresponding tail probabilities decay exponentially, as is shown by a large-deviations analysis. F. In this paper the fabrication and use of micro-structured metal nozzle plates as emulsification devices is investigated and discussed. These structured metal nozzle plates were fabricated via two distinct routes. Laser ablation, performed with a femtosecond laser, was used to drill micrometer-sized holes into stainless steel and aluminum foils. Also a conventional steel mesh with an average pore size of 2.4 μm fabricated by weaving and roll compaction of micrometer-sized steel wires was investigated. The perforated metal nozzle plates were used for oil-in-water and after hydrophobization with alkylchlorosilanes for water-in-oil emulsification as well. In both cases, two types of drop formation processes were observed. The first one is the shear-induced drop formation well known for cross-flow membrane emulsification. The second is the spontaneous drop formation known from microchannel emulsification.  相似文献

We address the problem of online route discovery for a class of graphs that can be embedded either in two or in three-dimensional space. In two dimensions we propose the class of quasi-planar graphs and in three dimensions the class of quasi-polyhedral graphs. In the former case such graphs are geometrically embedded in R2 and have an underlying backbone that is planar with convex faces; however within each face arbitrary edges (with arbitrary crossings) are allowed. In the latter case, these graphs are geometrically embedded in R3 and consist of a backbone of convex polyhedra and arbitrary edges within each polyhedron. In both cases we provide a routing algorithm that guarantees delivery. Our algorithms need only “remember” the source and destination nodes and one (respectively, two) reference nodes used to store information about the underlying face (respectively, polyhedron) currently being traversed. The existence of the backbone is used only in proofs of correctness of the routing algorithm; the particular choice is irrelevant and does not affect the behaviour of the algorithm.  相似文献

We study the polariton relaxation dynamics for different scattering mechanisms as: Phonon and electron scattering procesess. The relaxation polariton is obtained at very short times by solving the Boltzman equation. Instead of the well-known relaxation process by phonons, we show that the bottleneck effect relaxes to the ground state more efficiently at low pump power intensity when the electron relaxation process is included. In this way, we clearly demonstrate that different relaxation times exist, for which any of these two mechanism is more efficient to relax the polariton population to the ground state.  相似文献

We investigate the electronic structure of Sr2FeMoO6/SrTiO3 (SFMO/STO) multilayers using the ab initio Full Potential Linearized Augmented Plane Wave method in order to study their properties within the GGA and GGA+U methods. We examin more especially the role of the interface on the magnetic and transport properties of these multilayers taking into account a possible Fe deficiency at the interface and we show that bulk behaviour is rapidly recovered due to the strong localization of the interfacial perturbation. For perfect interfaces, the whole structure is found half-metallic within the GGA+U method; the situation being ambiguous within the GGA method where SFMO is at the limit of being half-metallic depending on the structural deformation induced by the STO layer. This leads us to the conclusion that such a system could be used as injection electrode and tunnel barrier in magnetic tunnel junctions with a fully spin polarized injected current. For Fe deficient interfaces, we show that the interfacial densities of states are nearly unpolarized showing that this kind of imperfection has potentially a strong impact on the properties of the multilayers.  相似文献
