High-spin proton and alpha-particle emission as probes for nuclear structure

During recent years the nuclear decay modes of discrete prompt proton and α-particle emission from (super)deformed high-spin states have been discovered in nuclei in the vicinity of ⁵⁶Ni. The latest news from experiments performed at EUROBALL and GAMMASPHERE regarding these decays are presented and discussed. Coulomb energy differences between isobaric analogue states in 70Br and 70Se

Gamma ray transitions de-exciting states in the N = Z nucleus ⁷⁰Br have been identified for the first time using the GASP and EUROBALL arrays coupled with ancillary detectors. The level scheme of ⁷⁰Br has been established by means of particle-gated γ-γ and γ-γ-γ coincidences. The Coulomb energy differences between isobaric analogue states in ⁷⁰Br and ⁷⁰Se show a deviation from the expected behaviour which could be related to dripline effects. Ein tragbares Gerät für die Füllstandskontrolle

Neben der Füllstandskontrolle mil Radionukliden mittels stationär angebauten Anlagen an Kesseln, Bunkern usw. besteht häufig das Problem der gelegentlichen Füllstandskontrolle an Behältern kleinen Durchmessers. Ein zur Lösung dieser Aufgabe entwickeltes tragbares und nelzunabbängiges Gerät, das nach dem Durchstrahlungsprinzip arbeitet und eine neuartige akustische Anzeige der Füllgrenze aufweist, wird beschrieben. Einige charakteristische Anwendungsmöglichkeiten, wie Füllstandskontrolle in Stahlflaschen und Kabelendverschlüssen, werden erläutert.     

Study of the N = 50 major shell effect toward 78Ni at PARRNe⋆

The γ-ray de-excitations following the β-decay of ⁸³Ga and the β-n decay of ⁸⁴Ga have been studied. The radioactive species were produced using the PARRNe on-line mass-separator installed at the IPN Orsay Tandem accelerator. Two γ-lines were attributed to ⁸³Ge with the aid of β-γ and γ-γ coincidences. The Z identification of the γ-lines was provided by time analysis of a buid-up/decay cycle. The excited levels of ⁸³Ge can be explained by the coupling of the single neutron state ν2d _5/2 to the first 2⁺ excitation of the ⁸²Ge core.     

Carathéodory interpolation on the non-commutative polydisk

The Carathéodory problem in the N-variable non-commutative Herglotz-Agler class and the Carathéodory-Fejér problem in the N-variable non-commutative Schur-Agler class are posed. It is shown that the Carathéodory (resp., Carathéodory-Fejér) problem has a solution if and only if the non-commutative polynomial with given operator coefficients (the data of the problem indexed by an admissible set Λ) takes operator values with positive semidefinite real part (resp., contractive operator values) on N-tuples of Λ-jointly nilpotent contractive n×n matrices, for all n∈N.     

单片机AT89C51在UHF和VHF频率测量系统中应用的研究

根据频率测量的基本原理，采用外部事件中断而不是常规的定时中断的频率测量的工作方式，设计了特高频UHF，甚高频VHF频率测量的基本电路和 软件流程。通过整机测试，不仅满足测量精度要求，而且兼顾频率分辨率和信号灵敏度的指标，解决了单片机的运行频率较低和被测信号的频率极高的矛盾。     

A cryostat design for radiation damage experiments at low temperature

Abstract

A cryostat for electron irradiations at liquid hydrogen or helium temperatures is described. The cryostat uses two concentric liquid coolant containers, of which the inner reservoir is sealed and acts as a heat exchanger through ebullition and recondensation of the coolant gas. This allows irradiations with a power input from the beam of up to a few watts, and when the sample is thermally isolated allows it to be annealed up to room temperature.

Relying on the stochastic analysis tools developed in Bayraktar and Yao (2011) [1], we solve the optimal stopping problems for non-linear expectations.     

COPURE INJECTIVE MODULES

Abstract

A module is said to be copure injective if it is injective with respect to all modules A ? B with B/A injective. We first characterize submodules that have the extension property with respect to copure injective modules. Then we characterize commutative rings with finite self injective dimension in terms of copure injective modules. Finally, we show that the quotient categories of reduced copure injective modules and reduced h- divisible modules are isomorphic.
