Fixed point for set-valued mappings satisfying an implicit relation in partially ordered metric spaces

Let (X,?) be a partially ordered set and d be a complete metric on X. Let F,G be two set-valued mappings on X. We obtained sufficient conditions for the existence of common fixed point of F and G satisfying an implicit relation in partially ordered set X.     

Weighted pseudo-almost periodic solutions to a neutral delay integral equation of advanced type

This paper studies suitable sufficient conditions to ensure the existence and uniqueness of weighted pseudo-almost periodic solutions to a neutral delay integral equation of advanced type introduced by T.A. Burton in the literature. The abstract results are then utilized to characterize weighted pseudo-almost periodic solutions to the well-known logistic equation.     

A note on “Convergence of a Halpern-type iteration algorithm for a class of pseudo-contractive mappings”

In [C.O. Chidume, G. De Souza, Convergence of a Halpern-type iteration algorithm for a class of pseudocontractive mappings, Nonlinear Analysis (2007), doi:10.1016/j.na.2007.08.008], the authors proved a strong convergence result for strictly pseudo-contractive mappings using a Halpern-type iteration algorithm. However, the main result is not correct. In this note, we provide a counter-example to the theorem.     

Asymptotically strict pseudocontractive mappings in the intermediate sense

It is proved that the modified Mann iteration process: _xn+1=(1−_αn)_xn+_αnTⁿ_xn,n∈N$x_{n+1}=(1-{\alpha }_n)x_n+{\alpha }_n{T}^n{x}_n,n\in \mathbb{N}$, where {_αn}$\left\{{\alpha }_n\right\}$ is a sequence in (0, 1) with δ≤_αn≤1−κ−δ$\delta \le {\alpha }_n\le 1-\kappa -\delta$ for some δ∈(0,1)$\delta \in (0,1)$, converges weakly to a fixed point of an asymptotically κ$\kappa$-strict pseudocontractive mapping T$T$ in the intermediate sense which is not necessarily Lipschitzian. We also develop CQ method for this modified Mann iteration process which generates a strongly convergent sequence.     

Generalized mixed variational-like inequality for random fuzzy mappings

In this paper, we introduce and study a new class of generalized mixed variational-like inequality for random fuzzy mappings(GMVLIP). An existence theorem for auxiliary problem of the GMVLIP is established. Further, by exploiting the theorem, we construct and analyze a new iterative algorithm for finding the solution of the GMVLIP. Furthermore, we prove the existence of a unique solution of the GMVLIP and discuss the convergence analysis of iterative sequence generated by the iterative algorithm.     

Distributional equation for Laguerre-Hahn functionals on the unit circle

Let u be a Hermitian linear functional defined in the linear space of Laurent polynomials and F its corresponding Carathéodory function. We establish the equivalence between a Riccati differential equation with polynomial coefficients for F, zAF^′=BF²+CF+D, and a distributional equation for u, , where L is the Lebesgue functional, and the polynomials are defined in terms of the polynomials A,B,C,D.     

Improving the efficiency index of one-point iterative processes

From the ideas of improving the speed of convergence and reducing the computational cost of one-point iterations, a new uniparametric family of multipoint iterations is constructed in Banach spaces to solve nonlinear equations. The semilocal convergence and the R$R$-order of convergence of the new iterations are analyzed and numerical tests are also given.
