Thermochemical properties of the HSO radical

Thermochemical properties of the HSO radical in the ideal gas state from 0 to 3000 K were calculated in the harmonic-oscillator, rigid-rotor approximation using recent spectroscopic data for the vibrational frequencies and heat of formation, and theoretical estimates of the molecular geometry.

The potential curves tor the ^1,3σ⁺ and ^1,3Π states of BLi and for the ²σ⁺ and ²Π states of BLi⁺ were caleatated with the help of the CAS SCF method. The ³π state was found to be the ground state of BLi. The molecule is stable with dissociation energy 0.70 eV.     

Ultraviolet irradiation of terarylenes: A facile,efficient, and environmentally friendly method for the synthesis of fused polycyclic products

Ultraviolet irradiation of hydroxyl substituted terarylenes provided a simple, efficient, and environmentally friendly method for the synthesis of imidazo[1,2-a]pyridines. The starting terarylenes were prepared via the one-pot, three-component condensation of readily accessible arylglyoxals, 2-aminopyridines, and dimedone.     

The Hewitt–Nachbin Completion in Topological Algebra. Some Effects of Homogeneity

A space X is called Moscow if the closure of any open set is the union of some family of G -subsets of X. It is established that if a topological ring K of non-measurable cardinality is a Moscow space, then the operations in K can be continuously extended to the Hewitt–Nachbin completion K of K turning K into a topological ring as well. A similar fact is established for linear topological spaces. If F is a topological field such that the cardinality of F is non-measurable and the space F is Moscow, then the space F is submetrizable and the space F is hereditarily Hewitt–Nachbin complete. In particular, F=F. We also show the effect of homogeneity of the Hewitt–Nachbin completion on the commutativity of the Hewitt–Nachbin completion with the product operation.
