Ground State of a Two-Electron Quantum Dot with a Gaussian Confining Potential

We investigate the ground-state properties of a two-dimensional two-electron quantum dot with a Gaussian confining potential under the influence of perpendicular homogeneous magnetic field. Calculations are carried out by using the method of numerical diagonalization of Hamiltonian matrix within the effective-mass approximation. A ground-state behaviour （singlet→triplet state transitions） as a function of the strength of a magnetic field has been found. It is found that the dot radius R of the Gaussian potential is important for the ground-state transition and the feature of ground-state for the Gaussian potential quantum dot （QD）, and the parabolic potential QDs are similar when R is larger. The larger the quantum dot radius, the smaller the magnetic field for the singlet-triplet transition of the ground-state of two interacting electrons in the Gaussian quantum dot.

RMF理论框架下用粒子数守恒方法处理对关联

在相对论平均场理论框架下,利用粒子数守恒方法处理对关联,给出了具体的理论公式和数值细节;并以24Ne为例,用该方法研究了它的基态和低激发态性质. Particle-number conserving method is adopted to treat the pairing correlations in the relativistic mean-field theory. The formalism and numerical techniques are presented. As an example, the ground state properties and low-lying excited states in~(24)Ne are studied.     

Simple Emission Model of Supersonic Molecular Beam

Recently some modes of supersonic molecular beam injection （SMBI）have been put forward. Among them there are electrostatic “double layer”-shielding, simple collective and optimized numerical models to explain the experiment phenomenon. The penetrated depth A and particle deposition were calculated theoretically. About 1/7 in- cident thermal electron flux was amputated and, A increased seven times. The previous simulation is not enough for the SMBI fueling mechanism research. Hence, further investigations, both in experiment and in theory should be developed. The phenomena of line emission due to supersonic molecular beam （SMB） are of particular importance.

Rayleigh-Marangoni-Benard instability in two-layer fluid system

Rayleigh-Marangoni-Bénard instability in a system of two-layer fluids is studied numerically. The convective instabilities in the system of Silicon Oil (10cSt) and Fluorinert (FC70) liquids have been analyzed. The critical parameters at onset of convection are presented in a large range of two-layer depth ratios from 0.2 to 5.0. Numerical results show that the instability of the two-layer system depends strongly on its depth ratio. When the depth ratio increases, the instability mode changes from mechanical coupling to thermal coupling. Between these two typical coupling modes, a time-dependent oscillation is detected. Nevertheless, traveling wave states are found in the case of oscillatory instability. The oscillation mode results from the competition between Rayleigh instability and Marangoni effect.
