Importance of Relativistic Effects for Intermediate-Z Elements: Photoionization Process of Excited Na

Using a modified R-matrix code, the fine-structure-resolved partial photoionization cross sections of excited Na (Z = 11) are calculated within the Breit-Pauli approximation. Our calculated energy levels of Na+ and Na are in good agreement with the experimental values within 1% and the branching ratios of the J-resolved partial cross sections are consistent with the recent measurements within the experimental uncertainties. The agreements are impossible to be obtained without adequately taking into account the relativistic effects and the electron correlations together. Therefore, even for the intermediate-Z elements (e.g. Na with Z = 11), the relativistic effects (mainly the spin-orbit interactions) should not be neglected. 相似文献

A reflection asymmetric relativistic mean field (RAS-RMF) approach is developed by expanding the equations of motion for both the nucleons and the mesons on the eigenfunctions of the two-centre harmonic-oscillator potential. The efficiency and reliability of the RAS-RMF approach are demonstrated in its application to the well-known octupole deformed nucleus 226Ra and the available data, including the binding energy and the deformation parameters, are well reproduced. 相似文献

For the beam splitter attack strategy against quantum key distribution using two-mode squeezed states, the analytical expression of the optimal beam splitter parameter is provided in this paper by applying the Shannon information theory. The theoretical secret information rate after error correction and privacy amplification is given in terms of the squeezed parameter and channel parameters. Simulate anneal arithmetic has been used to settle the problem of time bunching on a pulsed slow-positron beam device. Based on the meson-meson mixing and Regge trajectory, this paper establishes the mass relations which can describe the mass spectrum of 1^1 P1 meson state. Using these mass relations, it obtains the mass of K1B, hi (1380) and hc(1P) to be 1358.5MeV, 1468 MeV and 3543.9 MeV, respectively.
