The penetration, diffusion and energy deposition of high-energy photon

This paper presents a new theory for calculating the transport of high-energy photons and their secondary charged particles. We call this new algorithm characteristic line method, which is completely analytic. Using this new method we cannot only accurately calculate the transport behaviour of energetic photons, but also precisely describes the transport behaviour and energy deposition of secondary electrons, photoelectrons, Compton recoil electrons and positron-electron pairs. Its calculation efficiency is much higher than that of the Monte Carlo method. The theory can be directly applied to layered media situation and obtain a pencil-beam-modelled solution. Therefore, it may be applied to clinical applications for radiation therapy.

Experimental and Theoretical Evidence for the Existence of Broad Forbidden Gaps in the Three—Component Composite

The influence of localized resonance on the properties of band-gaps of the two-dimensional periodic composite are analysed numerically and experimentally by comparing the two-component phononic crystal with the three-component one. The three-component composite which exhibits localized resonance in the elastically soft coating ring is composed of a square array of coated cylinders embedded in an epoxy resin. The coated cylinders consist of a steel inner core and a rubber coating, which has much smaller wave velocity and mass density than the matrixand tile inner material. Tile measured transmission power of tile three-component composite drops to the noise level in a broad ultrasonic frequency interval in contrast to the binary composite, which is in good agreement with the calculation using the finite element method.

Quantum Key Distribution Using High-Dimensional Quantum Error-Avoiding Code

Using high-dimensional quantum error-avoiding code, we present two new quantum key distribution protocols over a collective noisy channel, i.e. six-photon and five-photon quantum error-avoiding codes. Compared with the previous protocols using four-photon and three-photon quantum error-avoiding code, the qubit efficiencies of the new protocols have increases of 16.67% and 5% respectively. In addition, the security of these protocols is analysed with a conclusion that the new protocols are much more secure than the four-photon and three-photon ones.     

第Ⅰ种强度不对称三态叠加多模叠加态光场N次方Y压缩—第一正交相位分量的压缩情况

根据量子力学中的线性叠加原理,构造了由三个强度不等的多模相干态光场|{Z_j^(A)}>_q、|{Z_j^(B)}>_q和|{Z_j^(C)}>_q的线性叠加所组成的第Ⅰ种强度不对称三态叠加多模叠加态光场|ψ_l^(ABC)>_q.利用多模压缩态理论,研究了态|ψ_l^(ABC)>_q的第一正交方分量(即磁场分量)的广义非线性等幂次N次方Y压缩特性.结果发现:①在上述各多模相干态光场中各模的强度和各模的初始相位各不相等的情况下,态|ψ_l^(ABC)>_q的第一正交分量-磁场分量在一定的条件下,总可呈现出周期性变化的、任意等幂次的N次方Y压缩效应;②当上述各多模相干态光场的强度和各模的初始相位相等时,态|ψ_l^(ABC)>_q的磁场分量的N次方Y压缩现象消失,态|ψ_l^(ABC)>_q可恒处于等幂次N-Y最小测不准态.     

光子选通光谱烧孔的全息检测与图像存贮

在ILC上用γγ→Z过程检验非对易时空标度

讨论关于在ILC用γγ到Z过程检验非对易时空能标(原文发在hep-ph/0604115). 在通常时空量子场论中, 由杨氏定理可知一个自旋为1的粒子不可能衰变为两个光子. 但在非对易时空中此过程是允许的. 因此这个过程能作为检验非对易时空的工具. ILC的光子对撞模式能实现这个过程. 如果总亮度能达到500fb^－1, 我们证明对Gamma (Z to gamma gamma)宽度的测量精度将比现有限制(<5.2×10^－5GeV)好3—4个数量级. 对非对易时空能标的检测可高达几个TeV.
