Strong convergence theorems for strictly asymptotically pseudocontractive mappings in Hilbert spaces

The purpose of this paper is by using CSQ method to study the strong convergence problem of iterative sequences for a pair of strictly asymptotically pseudocontractive mappings to approximate a common fixed point in a Hilbert space. Under suitable conditions some strong convergence theorems are proved. The results presented in the paper are new which extend and improve some recent results of Acedo and Xu [Iterative methods for strict pseudo-contractions in Hilbert spaces. Effect of Cu doping on the magnetic and electrical properties of n=2 Ruddlesden-Popper manganates

A series of polycrystalline Cu-doped n=2 Ruddlesden-Popper manganates La1.2Sr1.8CuzMn（2-x）O7 （x=0, 0.04, 0.13） were synthesized by the solid state reaction method. The effect of Cu doping on the magnetic and transport properties has been studied. It is found that Cu substitution for Mn greatly affects the magnetic and electrical properties of the parent phase La1.2Sr1.8Mn2O7. With the increase of Cu content, the system undergoes a transition from longrange ferromagnetic order to the spin glass state and further to an antiferromagnetic order. A little of Cu dopant can lead to the samples showing semiconductor or insulator behaviour in the whole observed temperature range while the parent phase has a metal-insulator transition. These samples show colossal magnetoresistance at low temperatures and the value of it decreases with increasing Cu content.

建立了复合材料加筋结构的后屈曲和分层损伤扩展行为的数值模拟方法．基于Mindlin一阶剪切理论和von-Karman大挠度理论的层合板和层合梁单元，提出了含分层损伤复合材料加筋层合板分层扩展行为的有限元分析方法；利用虚裂纹闭合技术计算分层前缘的总能量释放率，并采用总能量释放率准则分层扩展判据，结合自适应网格移动技术，对在压缩载荷作用下的具有不同加筋形式，不同初始分层面积和形状的加筋板结构分层扩展行为进行了数值模拟研究，在分析中还考虑了加筋刚度、位置和分布，分层形状和大小、边界支撑强弱和分层前缘的接触效应对结构分层扩展行为的影响．本所提出的研究方法对工程界关于复合材料结构的设计具有重要意义．     

Neural Signal Tuned by Random Long-range Connections in Coupled FitzHugh-Nagumo Neurons Systems

We investigate the effect of random long-range connections on signal propagation in an array of coupled FitzHugh- Nagumo （FHN） neurons. The neural network can be obtained by randomly adding a small fraction of shortcuts in an originally locally coupled one-dimensional chain. It is shown that when the first neuron is subjected to external stimuli, it fires and excites its connected neighbours, such that the neural signal may propagate along the chain favoured by the shortcuts. Moreover, there exists an optimal number of shortcuts which can lead to the most synchronous behaviour. In addition, how the region of the fraction of shortcuts varies with the coupling strength is also discussed. These results suggest that topological disorder in the neural network may play a vital role in helping information processing in living systems.
