Non-uniform spin states (stripe domains) are induced by powerful pulse ultrasonic waves in a hematite (-Fe2O3) single crystal. These states are visualized with the help of the Cotton-Mouton effect and quantitatively described in terms of an effective field proportional to the square of ultrasound amplitude.  相似文献

CuBe/Insulator/NiCoP composite wire was prepared by electroless deposition on an insulated CuBe core with a diameter of 90 μm. The conversion relationship between the magneto-impedance and effective magnetic permeability of the composite wire was derived from an energy conversion model. The evolution of the magnetic permeability and the giant magneto-impedance (GMI) effect were investigated. The results show that a distinct GMI effect can be obtained at relatively low frequency. The largest GMI ratio is 240% at 600 kHz, and the maximal field sensitivity is 34%/Oe.  相似文献

A new type of radial composite piezoelectric transducer in radial vibration is developed and analyzed. The radial composite transducer consists of a piezoelectric ceramic thin ring polarized in the thickness direction and a metal thin circular ring. They are connected together and excited to vibrate in the radial direction. The radial vibrations of a piezoelectric ceramic thin ring and a metal thin circular ring are analyzed, respectively. Their radial electro-mechanical equivalent circuits are obtained. Based on the electro-mechanical equivalent circuits and using the boundary conditions between the piezoelectric ceramic thin ring and the metal thin circular ring in the radial direction, the electro-mechanical equivalent circuit of the radial composite piezoelectric transducer is derived out and the resonance frequency equation is obtained. The relationship between the resonance frequency and the geometrical dimensions of the transducer is analyzed. Some radial composite piezoelectric transducers are designed and manufactured. The resonance frequencies and the anti-resonance frequencies, the electro-mechanical equivalent circuit parameters are measured. The effective electro-mechanical coupling coefficient and the mechanical quality factor are calculated. It is illustrated that the measured radial resonance frequencies are in good agreement with the theoretical results from the resonance frequency equation.  相似文献

The aim of this study is to develop a model for the determination of the superficial velocities in horizontal and slightly inclined oil–water pipe flow conditions by using pressure gradient and mixture density information. In this article an inverse model is suggested for a dispersion of oil in water and of water in oil. This approach permits to select dispersed flow conditions from a set of experimental data, and uses a new hybrid model for the effective viscosity. A set of 310 oil–water experimental data points collected on an experimental set-up of length L = 15 m and diameter D = 8.28 cm at various (slight) orientations is used to validate the inverse method. The comparison between model reconstructions and measured flow velocities show a reasonable agreement.  相似文献

A rectangular cell of known boundary conditions is cut out from a medium containing the doubly periodic array of inclusions. The stress and strain relationship of the rectangular cell is obtained by using the classical boundary element methods. By matching the boundary condition requirements, the effective elastic properties of the doubly periodic array of inclusions can then be calculated. Numerical examples from the sub-domain boundary element method and the single domain boundary element method are compared and discussed. However, the present method cannot be readily extended to domains having circular or curved boundary parts.  相似文献

A discrete model for the estimation of the effect of random voids on the structural properties of a two-dimensional solid is presented. Triangular void cells are used to simulate randomly located micro-cracks.The proposed model is solved using Cell Method, a recent numerical method that allows a direct discrete formulation of balance equations. Both heterogeneities of the structure and stress concentrations due to voids distribution are taken into account by the model. Following an introduction, some aspects of Cell Method for plane elasticity that are relevant for this paper will be briefly recalled and results from simulations in the elastic field will be discussed. Next, the proposed model will be extended to plastic field and more simulations will be presented. Results show that this model can be successfully employed to assess the structural response of a 2D solid with randomly distributed voids.  相似文献
