Strong-stability-preserving (SSP) time-discretization methods have a nonlinear stability property that makes them particularly suitable for the integration of hyperbolic conservation laws. A collection of SSP explicit 3-stage Hermite-Birkhoff methods of orders 3 to 7 with nonnegative coefficients are constructed as k-step analogues of third-order Runge-Kutta methods, incorporating a function evaluation at two off-step points. Generally, these new methods have larger effective CFL coefficients than the hybrid methods of Huang with the same step number k. They have larger maximum scaled step sizes than hybrid methods on Burgers' equations. 相似文献

We study the asymptotic behavior of solutions of dissipative wave equations with space–time‐dependent potential. When the potential is only time‐dependent, Fourier analysis is a useful tool to derive sharp decay estimates for solutions. When the potential is only space‐dependent, a powerful technique has been developed by Todorova and Yordanov to capture the exact decay of solutions. The presence of a space–time‐dependent potential, as in our case, requires modifications of this technique. This paper is devoted to the class of inverse problems for a nonlinear parabolic hemivariational inequality. The unknown coefficient of the operator depends on the gradient of the solution and belongs to a set of admissible coefficients. It is proved that the convergence of solutions for the corresponding direct problems continuously depends on the coefficient convergence. A diffusive epidemic model for H1N1 influenza is formulated with a view to gain basic understanding of the virus behavior. All newborns are assumed to be susceptible. Mortality rate for infective individuals in the population is assumed to be greater than natural mortality rate. Latent, infectious and immune periods are assumed to be constants throughout this study. The numerical solutions of this model are carried out under three different initial populations distribution. In order to investigate the effect of the disease transmission coefficient on the spread of disease, β is taken to be constant as well as a function of seasonally varying time t and a function of spatial variable x . The threshold quantity (R0) that governs the disease dynamics is derived. Numerical simulation shows that the system supports the existence of sustained and damped oscillations depending on initial populations distribution, the disease transmission rate and diffusion. 相似文献

In an evidential reasoning context, a group consensus (GC) based approach can model multiple attributive group decision analysis problems with GC requirements. The predefined GC is reached through several rounds of group analysis and discussion (GAD) in the approach. However, the GAD with no guidance may not be the most appropriate way to reach the predefined GC because several rounds of GAD will spend a lot of time of all experts and yet cannot help them to effectively emphasize on the assessments which primarily damage the GC. In this paper, an attribute weight based feedback model is constructed to effectively identify the assessments primarily damaging the GC and accelerate the GC convergence. Considering important attributes with the weights more than or at least equal to the mean of the weights of all attributes, the feedback model constructs identification rules to identify the assessments damaging the GC for the experts to renew. In addition, a suggestion rule is introduced to generate appropriate recommendations for the experts to renew their identified assessments. The identification rules are constructed at three levels including the attribute, alternative and global levels. The feedback model is used to solve an engineering project management software selection problem to demonstrate its detailed implementation process, its validity and applicability, and its advantages compared with the GC based approach. 相似文献
