China has one of the fastest-growing economies in the world, but this economic development has important implications for environmental changes in this country. Our research was to quantify the presence of heavy metals in soil and water environments in the Tianshan Mountains region of China, associated with the economic development of this region. We used anomaly analysis, correlation analysis, and principal component analysis to assess the occurrence characteristics of heavy metals in this area. Results showed that Co, Cr, As, and Ni are more prevalent in water environments than in soil environments; in contrast, Cd, Zn, Pb, Hg, and Mn are more prevalent in soil samples than in water samples. This analysis grouped 10 heavy metals in soil and water environments into three principal components. In soil environments, the prevalence order was Co, Ni, Cr, As > Mn, Zn, Pb > Hg, Cd, Cu. In water environments, the order was Cu, Co, Ni, Cr, As > Hg, Mn, Zn > Cd, Pb. It is possible to distinguish between the natural and the anthropogenic sources of heavy metals in the Tianshan Mountains. With the current rapid economic development in the Tianshan Mountains, anthropogenic sources are playing principal roles in serious heavy metal accumulations in this region. This problem warrants immediate and widespread attention to prevent further deterioration of the soil and water environments.  相似文献

The current paper deals with spatial spreading and front propagating dynamics for spatially discrete KPP (Kolmogorov, Petrovsky and Paskunov) models in time recurrent environments, which include time periodic and almost periodic environments as special cases. The notions of spreading speed interval, generalized propagating speed interval, and traveling wave solutions are first introduced, which are proper modifications of those introduced for spatially continuous KPP models in time almost periodic environments. Among others, it is then shown that the spreading speed interval in a given direction is the minimal generalized propagating speed interval in that direction. Some important upper and lower bounds for the spreading and generalized propagating speed intervals are provided. When the environment is unique ergodic and the so called linear determinacy condition is satisfied, it is shown that the spreading speed interval in any direction is a singleton (called the spreading speed), which equals the classical spreading speed if the environment is actually periodic. Moreover, in such a case, a variational principle for the spreading speed is established and it is shown that there is a front of speed c in a given direction if and only if c is greater than or equal to the spreading speed in that direction.   相似文献

A design of varying step size approach both in time span and spatial coordinate systems to achieve fast convergence is demonstrated in this study. This method is based on the concept of minimization of residuals by the Bi‐CGSTAB algorithm, so that the convergence can be enforced by varying the time‐step size. The numerical results show that the time‐step size determined by the proposed method improves the convergence rate for turbulent computations using advanced turbulence models in low Reynolds‐number form, and the degree of improvement increases with the degree of the complexity of the turbulence models. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. In this paper we study varying‐coefficient models for count data. A Bayesian approach is taken to model the variability of the regression parameters. Based on a Kalman filter procedure the varying coefficients are estimated as the mode of the posterior distribution. All hyperparameters, including an overdispersion parameter in the negative binomial varying‐coefficient model (NBVC), are estimated as ML‐estimators using an EM‐type algorithm. A bootstrapping test of the fixed‐coefficient hypothesis against a varying‐coefficient alternative is proposed, which is evaluated running a simulation study. The study shows that the choice of a suitable count data model is of special importance in the framework of varying‐coefficient models. A novel parametric time-domain method for time varying spectral analysis of earthquake ground motions is presented. Based upon time varying autoregressive moving average (ARMA) modeling of earthquake ground motion, unscented Kalman filter (UKF) is used to estimate the time varying ARMA coefficients. Then, time varying spectrum is yielded according to the time varying ARMA coefficients. Analysis of the ground motion record El Centro (1940, N–S) shows that compared to Kalman filter (KF) based method, short-time Fourier transform (STFT) and wavelet transform (WT), UKF based method can more reasonably represent the distribution of the seismic energy in time–frequency plane, which ensures its better ability to track the local properties of earthquake ground motions and to identify the systems with nonlinearity. Analysis of the seismic response of a building during the 1994 Northridge earthquake shows that UKF based method can be potentially a useful tool for structural damage detection and health monitoring. Lastly, it is found that the theoretical frequency resolving power of ARMA models usually neglected in some studies has considerable effect on time varying spectrum and it is one of the key factors for ARMA modeling of earthquake ground motion.  相似文献

在宏-细观力学模型框架下,讨论湿热环境对复合材料层合圆柱薄壳在轴向压缩作用下屈曲和后屈曲行为的影响.基于细观力学模型复合材料性能与湿度和温度变化有关.壳体控制方程基于经典层合壳理论,并包括湿热效应.壳体屈曲的边界层理论被推广用于湿热环境的情况,相应的奇异摄动法用于确定层合圆柱薄壳的屈曲荷载和后屈曲平衡路径.分析中同时计及壳体非线性前屈曲变形和初始几何缺陷的影响.数值算例给出完善和非完善正交铺设层合圆柱薄壳在不同湿热环境中的后屈曲行为.讨论了温度和湿度,纤维体积比率,壳体几何参数,铺层数,铺层方式和初始几何缺陷等各种参数变化的影响.  相似文献
