Nonsmooth Characterizations of Asplund Spaces and Smooth Variational Principles

We show that the Asplund property of Banach spaces is not only sufficient but also a necessary condition for the fulfillment of some basic results in nonsmooth analysis involving Fréchet-like normals and subdifferentials as well as their sequential limits. In this way we obtain new characterizations of Asplund spaces within the framework of nonsmooth analysis. Then we study several versions of smooth variational principles in Asplund spaces, provide necessary and sufficient conditions for the validity of such principles, and establish their relationships with certain subdifferential properties of lower semicontinuous functions.     

Two Points Blow-up in Solutions of the Nonlinear Schrödinger Equation with Quartic Potential on \mathbb{R}

We consider the blow-up problem for the nonlinear Schrödinger equation with quartic self-interacting potential on . We exhibit a class of initial data leading to the blow-up solutions which have at least two L ²-concentration points.     

Construction of pseudorandom binary sequences using additive characters over GF(2 k )

In a series of papers Mauduit and Sárközy (partly with coauthors) studied finite pseudorandom binary sequences and they constructed sequences with strong pseudorandom properties. In these constructions fields with prime order were used. In this paper a new construction is presented, which is based on finite fields of order 2 ^k .     

Exact sequences for the homology of the matching complex

Building on work by Bouc and by Shareshian and Wachs, we provide a toolbox of long exact sequences for the reduced simplicial homology of the matching complex Mn, which is the simplicial complex of matchings in the complete graph Kn. Combining these sequences in different ways, we prove several results about the 3-torsion part of the homology of Mn. First, we demonstrate that there is nonvanishing 3-torsion in whenever , where . By results due to Bouc and to Shareshian and Wachs, is a nontrivial elementary 3-group for almost all n and the bottom nonvanishing homology group of Mn for all n≠2. Second, we prove that is a nontrivial 3-group whenever . Third, for each k?0, we show that there is a polynomial fk(r) of degree 3k such that the dimension of , viewed as a vector space over Z₃, is at most fk(r) for all r?k+2.     

Stability of the notion of approximating class of sequences and applications

Given an approximating class of sequences {{B_n,m}_n}_m for {A_n}_n, we prove that (X⁺ being the pseudo-inverse of Moore–Penrose) is an approximating class of sequences for , where {A_n}_n is a sparsely vanishing sequence of matrices A_n of size d_n with d_k>d_q for k>q,k,qN. As a consequence, we extend distributional spectral results on the algebra generated by Toeplitz sequences, by including the (pseudo) inversion operation, in the case where the sequences that are (pseudo) inverted are distributed as sparsely vanishing symbols. Applications to preconditioning and a potential use in image/signal restoration problems are presented.     

Detection and Sequence Identification of Dinucleotides Produced from N‐Phosphoryl Alanine and Four Nucleosides by HPLC‐ESI‐MS/MS

本文利用液相色谱质谱联用技术研究了N－磷酰化丙氨酸和四种核苷（腺苷,尿苷,胞苷和鸟苷）的模板反应产物。结果表明生成了不同类型的单核苷酸和二核苷酸,并且生成的二核苷酸序列也得到了确证。研究结果揭示,二核苷酸骨架裂解形成的c离子可以作为确证二核苷酸序列的诊断离子。本文首次证明不论是在正离子模式还是在负离子模式下,c离子都可以用来确定此反应体系中生成的二核苷酸产物的序列。     

“渐近非扩张映象不动点具误差的迭代逼近”的注记

本文在去掉条件"T在D上一致渐近正则"的情况下,在一致凸Banach空间中给出了几个渐近拟非扩张型映象和渐近非扩张型映象不动点的迭代逼近定理.这些定理推广和发展了最近一些文献的相关成果,并且改进了定理的证明方法.     

关于Smarandache素数列及其它的行列式

对任意正整数n≥2,Smarandache下素数列{pp(n))定义为小于或等于n的最大素数;而Smarandache上素数列{Pp(n))表示大于或等于n的最小素数.本文的主要目的是利用初等方法研究Smarandache素数列的性质,并得到由Smarandache素数列组成的行列式的一些性质.     

Multiscale-bump standing waves with a critical frequency for nonlinear Schrödinger equations

In this paper we study the existence and qualitative property of standing wave solutions for the nonlinear Schrödinger equation with being a critical frequency in the sense that We show that if the zero set of has isolated connected components such that the interior of is not empty and is smooth, has isolated zero points, , , and has critical points such that , then for small, there exists a standing wave solution which is trapped in a neighborhood of Moreover the amplitudes of the standing wave around , and are of a different order of . This type of multi-scale solution has never before been obtained.
