Summary In this paper, the influence of the variable stiffness of mating gear teeth on dynamic loads occurring between teeth in a single-gear transmission is investigated using a discrete-continuous model consisting of two torsionally deformable ponderable shafts and four rigid bodies. The stiffness is described by a harmonic function of time. Considerations by means of the wave method enable to determine dynamic loads in steady as well as in transient states. Numerical calculations are concentrated on the determination of the amplitudes of dynamic loads on gear teeth with respect to revolution per minute. For the first time, the fractional order disturbance observer (FO-DOB) is proposed for vibration suppression applications such as hard disk drive servo control. It has been discovered in a recently published US patent application (US20010036026) that there is a tradeoff between phase margin loss and strength of the low frequency vibration suppression. Given the required cutoff frequency of the low pass filter, also known as the Q-filter, it turns out that the relative degree of the Q-filter is the major tuning knob for this tradeoff. The solution in US20010036026 was based on an integer order Q-filter with a variable relative degree. This actually motivated the use of a fractional order Q-filter. The fractional order disturbance observer is based on the fractional order Q-filter. The implementation issue is also discussed. The nice point of this paper is that the traditional DOB is extended to the fractional order DOB with the advantage that the FO-DOB design is now no longer conservative nor aggressive, i.e., given the cutoff frequency and the desired phase margin, we can uniquely determine the fractional order of the low pass filter.  相似文献

This paper presents the governing equations of electrostrictive materials. The stress and electric field solutions for an infinite plate with a rigid elliptic conductor under applied load at infinity are given. The asymptotic expansions of the solution for a narrow elliptic conductor show that the stresses and the electric fields near the end of a narrow elliptic conductor possess r−1 and r−1/2 forms respectively in a local coordinate system with the origin at its focus.  相似文献

The system of a wedge disclination dipole interacting with an internal crack was investigated. By using the complex variable method, the closed form solutions of complex potentials to this problem were presented. The analytic formulae of the physics variables, such as stress intensity factors at the tips of the crack produced by the wedge disclination dipole and the image force acting on disclination dipole center were obtained. The influence of the orientation, the dipole arm and the location of the disclination dipole on the stress intensity factors was discussed in detail. Furthermore, the equilibrium position of the wedge disclination dipole was also examined. It is shown that the shielding or antishielding effect of the wedge disclination to the stress intensity factors is significant when the disclination dipole moves to the crack tips.  相似文献

Numerical investigations of the nature of the fluid flow pattern and heat transfer at the boundary layer of a packed bed are reported. A volume averaged Navier-Stokes equation is used to predict the fluid flow and a volume averaged heat balance equation the heat transfer. A variable porosity in the packing is assumed in the region near the wall. Simulations are performed using a modified penalty Galerkin finite element method. The case of fully developed hydrodynamic flow and developing thermal flow is studied. The Nusselt number is found to depend on the Reynolds number, Graetz number and ratio of thermal conductivity of the solid and fluid phases. The paper continues studies intended to find out whether it is possible to create a prototype walking machine with relatively simple components. In this connection, the control problem is solved for a two-dimensional model of biped machine. It has a torso and two telescopic legs. Each leg includes a ponderable section of constant length and an imponderable section of variable length. The machine, regarded as a system with variable constraints, implements a single-stance gait (one stance leg at a time) with a step of constant duration. The contact of the swing leg with the ground is analyzed within the framework of Carnot's theorem (perfectly inelastic impact). It is assumed that the force developed in the stance leg is due to the deformation of the leg's spring and that this deformation can be controlled. An algorithm is proposed to synthesize a control system that takes into account collisions occurring at reverse of the roles of the legs. This algorithm is based on methods of optimizing periodic systems. The algorithm is compared with approaches used by other authors  相似文献
