Semiuniform convergence spaces form a common generalization of filter spaces (including symmetric convergence spaces [and thus symmetric topological spaces] as well as Cauchy spaces) and uniform limit spaces (including uniform spaces) with many convenient properties such as cartesian closedness, hereditariness and the fact that products of quotients are quotients. Here, for each semiuniform convergence space a completion is constructed, called the simple completion. This one generalizes Császár's -completion of filter spaces. Thus, filter spaces are characterized as subspaces of convergence spaces. Furthermore, Wyler's completion of separated uniform limit spaces can be easily derived from the simple completion. 相似文献

回顾了颗粒介质中应力的分布和传播模式以及物体在颗粒介质中运动所受阻力的研究进展,并报道了我们对颗粒体系中代表离散特性的颗粒尺寸效应对颗粒介质特性影响的研究.研究发现物体由于自身重量在颗粒介质中下沉的深度随着颗粒尺寸的增大单调减小;球体在下陷过程中受到的颗粒床的支撑力,除了在约1 mm范围的表面作用区域以外,与下陷深度之间满足很好的幂率关系,幂值在1.5—1.0之间,并且此幂值随着颗粒尺寸的增大而单调减小.颗粒床的支撑力与下陷深度的幂率关系可解释为颗粒介质内部应力结构重组的宏观反应结果.

In this article, we continue the combinatorial study of models of particles jumping on a row of cells which we initiated with the standard totally asymmetric simple exclusion process or TASEP (Duchi and Schaeffer, Journal of Combinatorial Theory, Series A, 110(2005), 1–29). We consider here the parallel TASEP, in which particles can jump simultaneously. On the one hand, the interest in this process comes from highway traffic modeling: it is the only solvable special case of the Nagel‐Schreckenberg automaton, the most popular model in that context. On the other hand, the parallel TASEP is of some theoretical interest because the derivation of its stationary distribution, as appearing in the physics literature, is harder than that of the standard TASEP. We offer here an elementary derivation that extends the combinatorial approach we developed for the standard TASEP. Georgii's theorem ensures that, restricted to two-dimensional planes, a single ocean (i.e., infinite connected component) of a ground state and islands (i.e., finite connected components) are observed in lattice spin systems at sufficiently low temperature. This paper extends his results for higher dimensional hyperplanes. The inexact Rayleigh quotient iteration (RQI) is used for computing the smallest eigenpair of a large Hermitian matrix. Under
certain condition, the method was proved to converge quadratically in literature. However, it is shown in this paper that
under the original given condition the inexact RQI may not quadratically converge to the desired eigenpair and even may misconverge
to some other undesired eigenpair. A new condition, called the uniform positiveness condition, is given that can fix misconvergence
problem and ensure the quadratic convergence of the inexact RQI. An alternative to the inexact RQI is the Jacobi-Davidson
(JD) method without subspace acceleration. A new proof of its linear convergence is presented and a sharper bound is established
in the paper. All the results are verified and analyzed by numerical experiments.
