The aim of the paper is to give an explicit expression for Hitchin's connection in the case of stable rank 2 bundles on genus 2 curves. Some general theory (in the algebraic geometric setting) concerning heat operators is developed. In particular the notion of compatibility of a heat operator with respect to a closed subvariety is introduced. This is used to compare the heat operator in the nonabelian rank 2 genus 2 case to the abelian heat operator (on theta functions) for abelian surfaces. This relation allows one to perform the computation; the resulting differential equations are similar to the Knizhnik-Zalmolodshikov equations.

A family of predictor-corrector exponential Numerov-type methods is developed for the numerical integration of the one-dimensional Schrödinger equation. The formula considered contains certain free parameters which allow it to be fitted automatically to exponential functions. The new methods are very simple and integrate more exponential functions than both the well-known fourth-order Numerov-type exponentially fitted methods and the sixth algebraic order Runge-Kutta-type methods. Numerical results also indicate that the new methods are much more accurate than the other exponentially fitted methods mentioned above. 相似文献

Due to its unequalled advantages, the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) modality has truly revolutionized the diagnosis and evaluation of pathology. Because many morphological anatomic details that may not be visualized by other high tech imaging methods can now be readily shown by diagnostic MRI, it has already become the standard modality by which all other clinical imaging techniques are measured. The unique quantum physical basis of the MRI modality combined with the imaging capabilities of current computer technology has made this imaging modality a target of interdisciplinary interest for clinicians, physicists, biologists, engineers, and mathematicians. Due to the fact that MRI scanners perform corticomorphic processing, this modality is by far more complex than all the other high tech clinical imaging techniques. The purpose of this paper is to outline a phase coherent wavelet approach to Fourier transform MRI. It is based on distributional harmonic analysis on the Heisenberg nilpotent Lie group G and the associated symplectically invariant symbol calculus of pseudodifferential operators. The contour and contrast resolution of MRI scans which is controlled by symplectic filter bank processing gives the noninvasive MRI modality superiority over X-ray computed tomography (CT) in soft tissue differentiation. 相似文献

A probabilistic approach is discussed that provides a good understanding of classical results established analytically. The finite-size scaling technique is extended to a microcanonical ensemble. As an application, equilibrium magnetic properties of anL×L square lattice Ising model are computed using the microcanonical ensemble simulation technique of Creutz, and the results are analyzed using the microcanonical ensemble finite-size scaling.
