Existence and bifurcation of integral manifolds with applications

In this paper a bifurcation theorem on the existence of integral manifolds is obtained by using contracting principle. As an application, sufficient conditions for a higher dimensional system to have an integral manifold are given. Especially the existence and uniqueness of a 3-dimensional invariant torus appearing in a 4-dimensional autonomous system with singularity of codimension two are proved.     

Minimal invariant tori in the resonant regions for nearly integrable Hamiltonian systems

Consider a real analytical Hamiltonian system of KAM type that has degrees of freedom (2$">) and is positive definite in . Let . In this paper we show that for most rotation vectors in , in the sense of ()-dimensional Lebesgue measure, there is at least one ()-dimensional invariant torus. These tori are the support of corresponding minimal measures. The Lebesgue measure estimate on this set is uniformly valid for any perturbation.

     

K6‐minors in triangulations and complete quadrangulations

In this paper, we shall prove that a projective‐planar (resp., toroidal) triangulation G has K₆ as a minor if and only if G has no quadrangulation isomorphic to K₄ (resp., K₅ ) as a subgraph. As an application of the theorems, we can prove that Hadwiger's conjecture is true for projective‐planar and toroidal triangulations. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Hamiltonian torus actions on symplectic orbifolds and toric varieties

In the first part of the paper, we build a foundation for further work on Hamiltonian actions on symplectic orbifolds. Most importantly, we prove the orbifold versions of the abelian connectedness and convexity theorems. In the second half, we prove that compact symplectic orbifolds with completely integrable torus actions are classified by convex simple rational polytopes with a positive integer attached to each open facet and that all such orbifolds are algebraic toric varieties.

     

Regularity of viscosity solutions near KAM torus

In this paper, we give weak regularity theorems on P of u~ε(x, P), where u~ε(x, P)is the viscosity solution of the cell problem H_ε(P D_xu~ε, x)=H_ε(P).     

Compact Manifolds Covered by a Torus

Let X be a compact complex manifold which is the image of a complex torus by a holomorphic surjective map A→X. We prove that X is Kähler and that up to a finite étale cover, X is a product of projective spaces by a torus.     

Abelian Subgroups of Garside Groups

In this article, we show that for every abelian subgroup H of a Garside group, some conjugate g ^?1 Hg consists of ultra summit elements and the centralizer of H is a finite index subgroup of the normalizer of H. Combining with the results on translation numbers in Garside groups, we obtain an easy proof of the algebraic flat torus theorem for Garside groups and solve several algorithmic problems concerning abelian subgroups of Garside groups.
