Theta Functions on Noncommutative Tori

Ordinary theta functions can be considered as holomorphic sections of line bundles over tori. We show that one can define generalized theta functions as holomorphic elements of projective modules over noncommutative tori (theta vectors). The theory of these new objects is not only more general, but also much simpler than the theory of ordinary theta-functions. It seems that the theory of theta vectors should be closely related to Manin's theory of quantized theta functions, but we don't analyze this relation.     

Examples for cross curvature flow on 3-manifolds

Recently, B. Chow and R.S. Hamilton [3] introduced the cross curvature flow on 3-manifolds. In this paper, we analyze two interesting examples for this new flow. One is on a square torus bundle over a circle, and the other is on a S² bundle over a circle. We show that the global flow exists in both cases. However, on the former the flow diverges at time infinity, and on the latter the flow converges at time infinity. Mathematics Subject Classification (1991) 53C44     

Magnetohydrodynamic equilibrium interpretation of low-aspect-ratio tokamak plasma

It is very important to calculate the equilibrium magnetic field configuration exactly and to estimate the parameters of the device needed for the equilibrium and stability in the design and operate the low-aspect-ratio tokamak, one of the axis-symmetrical torus devices which is widely used in the research of nuclear fusion using plasma. In the previous researches, there were the theoretical and numerical interpretation methods for the high-aspect-ratio tokamak plasma. But for the low-aspect-ratio tokamak plasma, numerical methods such as the finite element method and iteration method are usually used. In this research, we interpreted and examined the features of magnetohydrodynamic equilibrium of the low-aspect-ratio tokamak plasma in combination with the Green function method and finite element method which has high numerical value accuracy.     

The spectrum of compact hypersurface in sphere

Let M be a compact minimal hypersurface of sphere Sn 1(1). Let (M) be H (r)-torus of sphere Sn 1 (1).Assume they have the same constant mean curvature H, the result in [1] is that ifSpec0(M, g) =Spec0((M), g),then for 3≤ n ≤ 6, r2≤n-1/n or n ≥ 6, r2 ≥ n-1, then M is isometric to (M). We improved the result and prove that: if Spec0(M,g) =Spec0((M),g), then M is isometric to (M). Generally, if Specp(M,g) =Specp((M),g), here p is fixed and satisfies that n(n - 1) ≠ 6p(n - p), then M is isometric to (M).     

R^4中的伪脐曲面及Gauss映射

本文研究了伪脐曲面M的一些性质,基于它并利用M的Ganuss映射,给出了M作为R^4中平坦环面的一个充分条件。

We obtain an explicit representation as Dunwoody manifolds of all cyclic branched coverings of torus knots of type (p,mp±1), with p > 1 and m > 0.     

Darboux integrability of real polynomial vector fields on regular algebraic hypersurfaces

In this paper we extend the Darboux theory of integrability in ℝ ⁿ to the regular algebraic hypersurfaces. Then we apply the extended theory first to the 3-dimensional generalized cylinders ×ℝ^3−r of ℝ⁴ forr=0, 1, 2, 3; and after to then-dimensional sphere of ℝ ⁿ⁺¹.     

量子环面上一类导子李代数的结构和自同构群

本文研究量子环面上的一类导子李代数,它包含了Virasoro-Like代数及其q类似．首先证明了这 类导子李代数之间的同构一定是分次同构,并进一步给出了代数同构的充要条件及同构映射的具体表达 式,最后确定了该类李代数的自同构群．     

Weakly infinitely divisible measures on some locally compact Abelian groups

On the torus group, on the group of p-adic integers, and on the p-adic solenoid, we give a construction of an arbitrary weakly infinitely divisible probability measure using a random element with values in a product of (possibly infinitely many) subgroups of ℝ. As a special case of our results, we have a new construction of the Haar measure on the p-adic solenoid.
