The structured Bessel-type functions of arbitrary even-order were introduced by Everitt and Markett in 1994; these functions satisfy linear ordinary differential equations of the same even-order. The differential equations have analytic coefficients and are defined on the whole complex plane with a regular singularity at the origin and an irregular singularity at the point of infinity. They are all natural extensions of the classical second-order Bessel differential equation. Further these differential equations have real-valued coefficients on the positive real half-line of the plane, and can be written in Lagrange symmetric (formally self-adjoint) form. In the fourth-order case, the Lagrange symmetric differential expression generates self-adjoint unbounded operators in certain Hilbert function spaces. These results are recorded in many of the papers here given as references. It is shown in the original paper of 1994 that in this fourth-order case one solution exists which can be represented in terms of the classical Bessel functions of order 0 and 1. The existence of this solution, further aided by computer programs in Maple, led to the existence of a linearly independent basis of solutions of the differential equation. In this paper a new proof of the existence of this solution base is given, on using the advanced theory of special functions in the complex plane. The methods lead to the development of analytical properties of these solutions, in particular the series expansions of all solutions at the regular singularity at the origin of the complex plane.  相似文献

Let C={1,2,…,m} and f be a multiplicative function such that (fμ)(k)>0 for every positive integer k and the Euler product converges. Let (Cf)=(f(i,j)) be the m×m matrix defined on the set C having f evaluated at the greatest common divisor (i,j) of i and j as its ij-entry. In the present paper, we first obtain the least upper bounds for the ij-entry and the absolute row sum of any row of (Cf)-1, the inverse of (Cf), in terms of ζf. Specializing these bounds for the arithmetical functions f=Nε,Jε and σε we examine the asymptotic behavior the smallest eigenvalue of each of matrices (CNε),(CJε) and (Cσε) depending on ε when m tends to infinity. We conclude our paper with a proof of a conjecture posed by Hong and Loewy [S. Hong, R. Loewy, Asymptotic behavior of eigenvalues of greatest common divisor matrices, Glasg. Math. In this paper, firstly we define the generalization of the generalized Al-Oboudi differential operator. Then we also define new classes of analytic and p-valently starlike and convex functions with complex order by means of this new general differential operator. Our main purpose is to determine coefficient bounds for functions in certain subclasses of this classes, which are introduced here by means of a family of nonhomogeneous Cauchy-Euler differential equations. Analytic functions f are called Robertson functions for which zf is α-spiral-like. This concept is generalized by several authors and a class real, of analytic functions is introduced and studied. It is noted that the functions in are of bounded boundary rotation and consists of Robertson functions.In this paper, we use the class to define a new class of analytic functions which unifies a number of classes previously studied such as the class of close-to-convex functions of higher order. Some interesting properties of this class, including coefficient problems, inclusion results and a sufficient condition for univalency are studied.  相似文献

We study the Green's function for a general hyperbolic-parabolic system, including the Navier-Stokes equations for compressible fluids and the equations for magnetohydrodynamics. More generally, we consider general systems under the basic Kawashima- Shizuta type of conditions. The first result is to make precise the secondary waves with subscale structure, revealing the nature of coupling of waves pertaining to different characteristic families. The second result is on the continuous differentiability of the Green's function with respect to a small parameter when the coefficients of the system are smooth functions of that parameter. The results significantly improve previous results obtained by the authors.  相似文献
