Broyden's method in Hilbert space

Broyden's method is formulated for the solution of nonlinear operator equations in Hilbert spaces. The algorithm is proven to be well defined and a linear rate of convergence is shown. Under an additional assumption on the initial approximation for the derivative we prove the superlinear rate of convergence.     

Existence and multiplicity results for singular quasilinear elliptic equation on unbounded domain

In this paper, we are interested in the existence and multiplicity results of solutions for the singular quasilinear elliptic problem with concave–convex nonlinearities (0.1) where is an unbounded exterior domain with smooth boundary ?Ω, 1 < p < N,0 ≤ a < (N ? p) ∕ p,λ > 0,1 < s < p < r < q = pN ∕ (N ? pd),d = a + 1 ? b,a ≤ b < a + 1. By the variational methods, we prove that problem 0.1 admits a sequence of solutions u_k under the appropriate assumptions on the weight functions H(x) and H(x). For the critical case, s = q,h(x) = | x | ^{? bq}, we obtain that problem 0.1 has at least a nonnegative solution with p < r < q and a sequence of solutions u_k with 1 < r < p < q and J(u_k) → 0 as k → ∞ , where J(u) is the energy functional associated to problem 0.1 . 本文研究下面的非周期离散非线性Schrödinger 方程：

其中V = {v_n}_n∈Z 和g_n 都是非周期的,当|n| → +∞ 时,v_n → +∞,并且时间频率ω ∈ R 可以满足下面的任何一种情形：（1）ω 属于算子-Δ + V 的一个有限谱间隔;（2）ω < inf σ（-Δ + V）;（3）ω ∈ σ（-Δ+ V）,其中σ（-Δ+ V）表示-Δ+ V的谱. 本文将用一些局部条件（在无穷远或零处）来代替一些全局条件. 利用变化的喷泉定理,当非线性项在无穷远处是超线性时,本文得到这个方程的无穷多个非平凡孤立子,并且,也得到指数衰减的孤立子的存在性.     

R~N上拟线性椭圆方程的无穷多解

运用喷泉定理研究了无界区域上拟线性椭圆方程无穷多解的存在性,推广了一些结果.     

A self-adaptive trust region method for the extended linear complementarity problems

By using some NCP functions, we reformulate the extended linear complementarity problem as a nonsmooth equation. Then we propose a self-adaptive trust region algorithm for solving this nonsmooth equation. The novelty of this method is that the trust region radius is controlled by the objective function value which can be adjusted automatically according to the algorithm. The global convergence is obtained under mild conditions and the local superlinear convergence rate is also established under strict complementarity conditions. Influence of cubic nonlinearity on the dispersion relation for long waves on a water surface

The influence of cubic nonlinearity on the dispersion relation for long waves on a water surface is analyzed. In the long wavelength limit, it is shown that the dispersion relation is not affected by the cubic terms. The results are compared with the dispersion relation for stationary solutions to the Korteweg—de Vries equation.
