A model for convection due to the selective absorption of radiation in a fluid saturated porous medium is investigated. The model is based on a similar one introduced for a viscous fluid by Krishnamurti [x]. Employing this adapted model we show the growth rate for the linearised system is real. A linear instability analysis is performed. Global stability thresholds are also found using nonlinear energy theory. An excellent agreement is found between the linear instability and nonlinear stability Rayleigh numbers, so that the region of potential subcritical instabilities is very small, demonstrating that the linear theory accurately emulates the physics of the onset of convection. In this paper we establish an interior regularity of weak solution for quasi-linear degenerate elliptic equations under the subcritical growth if its coefficient matrix A(x, u) satisfies a VMO condition in the variable x uniformly with respect to all u, and the lower order item B(x, u, △↓u) satisfies the subcritical growth (1.2). In particular, when F(x) ∈ L^q(Ω) and f(x) ∈ L^γ(Ω) with q,γ 〉 for any 1 〈 p 〈 +∞, we obtain interior HSlder continuity of any weak solution of (1.1) u with an index κ = min{1 - n/q, 1 - n/γ}.  相似文献

BARC is developing a technology for the accelerator-driven subcritical system (ADSS) that will be mainly utilized for the transmutation of nuclear waste and enrichment of U233. Design and development of superconducting medium velocity cavity has been taken up as a part of the accelerator-driven subcritical system project. We have studied RF properties of 700 MHz, β = 0.42 single cell elliptical cavity for possible use in high current proton acceleration. The cavity shape optimization studies have been done using SUPERFISH code. A calculation has been done to find out the velocity range over which this cavity can accelerate protons efficiently and to select the number of cells/cavity. The cavity’s peak electric and magnetic fields, power dissipation P c , quality factor Q and effective shunt impedance ZT 2 were calculated for various cavity dimensions using these codes. Based on these analyses a list of design parameters for the inner cell of the cavity has been suggested for possible use in high current proton accelerator.   相似文献

A comprehensive chemical profiling of 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane (freon R134a) subcritical extracts from the main genotypes of oil-bearing roses, was performed by gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC/MS) and gas chromatography with flame ionization detection (GC-FID) in order to reveal the differences in their chemical composition. One hundred and three individual compounds were identified using GC/MS and their quantitative content was determined using GC-FID, representing 89.8, 92.5, 89.7 and 93.7% of the total content of Rosa gallica L., Rosa damascena Mill., Rosa alba L. and Rosa centifolia L. extracts, respectively. The compounds found in the extracts are representatives of the following main chemical classes: mono-, sesqui- and triterpenoids, phenylethanoids and phenylpropanoids and aliphatic hydrocarbons. Fatty acids, esters and waxes were found, as well. The study revealed that 2-phenylethanol is the most abundant component, ranging 9.0–60.9% followed by nonadecane and nonadecene with 5.1–18.0% geraniol (2.9–14.4%), heneicosane (3.1–11.8%), tricosane (0.1–8.6%), nerol (1.3–6.1%) and citronellol (1.7–5.3%). The extracts demonstrate a specific chemical profile, depending on the botanical species—phenylethanoids and phenyl propanoids are the main group for R. damascena, aliphatic hydrocarbons for R. alba and R. centifolia, while both are found in almost equal amounts in R. gallica. The terpenoid compounds show relatively broad variations: monoterpenes—11.9–25.5% with maximum in R. centifolia; sesquiterpenes—0.6–7.0% with maximum in R. gallica and triterpenes—0.4–3.7% with maximum in R. gallica extract.  相似文献

The aim of this investigation was to synthesize high porosity TiO2 aerogel by applying sol-gel and subcritical drying methods and to identify the influence of reagent’s nature and synthesis conditions on their structural and optical properties. Methods of XRD, FT-IR, BET, STA, SEM, and UV-vis were applied to investigate and compare the properties of synthesized TiO2 aerogels and to determine the most effective synthesis route. The structural parameters of the synthesized materials can be varied by changing the precursor type (titanium (IV), isopropoxide (TIP), or tetrabutylorthotitanate (TBOT)) and the nature of the solvent used for additional exchange (n-hexane (nH), cyclohexane (CH), or diethyl ether (DE)). All of the subcritical dried samples show the amorphous structure, which tends to crystallize into the anatase phase after calcination. The number of micro and mesopores and the specific surface area depends on the synthesis conditions. The pores with the highest diameter have been found for additionally nH exchanged and aged aerogel synthesized from precursor TIP. Despite the imperfections in the structure, the produced aerogels show structural and optical properties typical of the TiO2 structures mentioned in the literature.  相似文献

New, pharmacologically interesting chiral amino compounds, namely, stereoisomers of α‐hydroxynaphthyl‐ß‐carboline, benz[d]azepine and benz[c]azepine analogs as well as N‐α‐hydroxynaphthylbenzyl‐substituted isoquinolines were enantioseparated by high‐performance liquid chromatographic and subcritical fluid chromatographic methods on polysaccharide‐based chiral stationary phases. Separation of the stereoisomers was optimized in both subcritical fluid chromatography and normal phase liquid chromatographic modes by investigating the effects of the composition of the bulk solvent, temperature, and the structures of the analytes and selectors. Both normal phase liquid chromatography and subcritical fluid chromatography exhibited satisfactory performance, albeit with somewhat different effectiveness in the separation of the stereoisomers studied. The optimized methods offer the possibility to apply preparative‐scale separations thereby enabling further pharmacological investigations of the enantiomers.  相似文献

The use of yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ) electrodes of the type Hg/HgO/ZrO2(Y2O3)/H+, for measuring pH in aqueous solutions at high subcritical (150374°C) is reviewed. The construction and operation of the YSZ and reference electrodes employed in these studies are described and their application in measuring the pH of a variety of technologically-important aqueous system is discussed. We show that the YSZ electrode is thermodynamically viable at temperatures into the supercritical region, and that it is a primary pH sensor in that calibration is not necessary, provided that the activity of water is known. However, highly accurate pH measurements at high subcritical and supercritical temperatures will require the development of more accurate reference electrodes.Presented at the Second International Symposium on Chemistry in High Temperature Water, Provo, UT, August 1991.  相似文献

Ion source pressure plays a significant role in the process of ionization and the subsequent ion transmission inside a mass spectrometer. Pressurizing the ion source to a gas pressure greater than atmospheric pressure is a relatively new approach that aims to further improve the performance of atmospheric pressure ionization sources. For example, under a super‐atmospheric pressure environment, a stable electrospray can be sustained for liquid with high surface tension such as pure water, because of the suppression of electric discharge. Even for nano‐electrospray ionization (nano‐ESI), which is known to work with aqueous solution, its stability and sensitivity can also be enhanced, particularly in the negative mode when the ion source is pressurized. A brief review on the development of super‐atmospheric pressure ion sources, including high‐pressure electrospray, field desorption and superheated ESI, and the strategies to interface these ion sources to a mass spectrometer will be given. Using a recent ESI prototype with an operating temperature at 220 °C under 27 atm, we also demonstrate that it is possible to achieve an online Asp‐specific protein digestion analysis in which the whole processes of digestion, ionization and MS acquisition could be completed on the order of a few seconds. This method is fast, and the reaction can even be monitored on a near‐real‐time basis. Copyright © 2016 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Let H be a fixed graph and a subcritical graph class. In this paper we show that the number of occurrences of H (as a subgraph) in a graph in of order n, chosen uniformly at random, follows a normal limiting distribution with linear expectation and variance. The main ingredient in our proof is the analytic framework developed by Drmota, Gittenberger and Morgenbesser to deal with infinite systems of functional equations [Drmota, Gittenberger, and Morgenbesser, Submitted]. As a case study, we obtain explicit expressions for the number of triangles and cycles of length 4 in the family of series‐parallel graphs. © 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Random Struct.
