“苦学”＋“口诀”——针对《经济数学》中“差生”的策略

《经济数学》是经济类专业本科生的一门重要的必修课.本文对《经济数学》重修班的出勤情况及期末考试成绩进行分析,将重修班的学生分为＂假性差生＂与＂纯粹差生＂两类,总结了这两类学生考试不及格的原因,并针对这些原因提出了＂‘苦学’＋‘口诀’＂的策略.     

Individualized additional instruction for calculus

College students enrolling in the calculus sequence have a wide variance in their preparation and abilities, yet they are usually taught from the same lecture. We describe another pedagogical model of Individualized Additional Instruction (IAI) that assesses each student frequently and prescribes further instruction and homework based on the student's performance. Our study compares two calculus classes, one taught with mandatory remedial IAI and the other without. The class with mandatory remedial IAI did significantly better on comprehensive multiple-choice exams, participated more frequently in classroom discussion and showed greater interest in theorem-proving and other advanced topics.     

Student presentations in the classroom

For many years, the author has been involving his students in classroom teaching of their own classes. The day-to-day practice is described, and the advantages and disadvantages for both the instructor and the students are discussed. Comparisons with the Moore Method of teaching are made.     

The MACSI summer school: a case study in outreach in mathematics

To encourage the study of mathematics in Ireland, the Mathematics Applications Consortium for Science and Industry (MACSI) organizes a summer school once a year. The different aspects of this summer school are presented. Students are selected depending on their motivation, academic abilities, gender and geographical origins. Instruction and supervision is provided by academics, post-doctoral fellows and post-graduate students. The teaching programme evolves every year and reflects the interests of the people involved. Feedback from participants has been almost uniformly positive. Students favour interactive sessions and enjoy the residential aspect of the summer school. Food and accommodation are however the most costly aspects of this summer school. In this respect the support of Science Foundation Ireland has been invaluable.     

Plane transformations in a complex setting II: isometries

This paper is the second part of a study of plane transformations using a complex setting. The first part was devoted to homotheties and translations, now attention is turned towards plane isometries. The group theoretic properties of plane isometries are easy to derive and images of classical geometrical objects by these transformations are easily computed in this environment.     

Convenient Chemical Symbols to Illustrate Electronic Excited States

The problem of poor comprehension of electronic spectra by chemistry students in upper level undergraduate classes is addressed by consistent application of vector addition to both spin and angular momentum. Using the upgraded box‐and‐arrow diagrams, both atomic and molecular electronic states may be described without the use of advanced mathematics. Simple chemical symbols and formulas are suggested for molecular excited states that complement the existing physical/mathematical notation. Elements of a suitable classroom presentation are presented.     

模型素养考查之数字实验图像试题的认识与思考*

对模型素养的考查与教学的基本要求是什么、高考中对模型素养的评价主要体现在哪些方面？着重从模型素养之数字实验(图像)试题的视角,对其分类及具体体现形式和上述问题进行了思考和梳理,并结合相关实际教学对学生出现的问题做了分析。     

高中生氧化还原反应认知结构的调查

选取氧化还原反应为研究内容,用流程图法（Flow Chart）对30名高中生认知结构进行测查。可视化图形与认知结构变量定量分析均表明：学生个体关于氧化还原反应的认知结构存在较大的差异;学生的学习成绩、认知结构变量和信息处理策略两两密切相关,成绩好的学生的认知结构变量得分较高,在构建和组织知识的过程中倾向于采用高水平的信息处理模型;分析还发现大部分高三学生在氧化还原反应知识的学习中,已经很好地建立了反应中得失电子、化合价升降等概念,但对于具体的氧化还原反应的情境认知水平较低。

通过与美国圣本尼迪克/圣约翰大学的享端·贾库波斯基教授对话,探讨了美国大学本科化学教学改革、学生素质、探究式教学、实践性教学及教学艺术等,进而探讨了教师在教材选择、教学实践以及学生评价等方面的主动性。亨瑞是圣约翰大学化学系主任。

在利用集对分析中的五元联系数描述给定范围内学生成绩为优、良、中、及格和差五类中各类所占的比例时,该五元联系数同时隐含着该批学生成绩的当前态势和潜在的发展趋势,通过偏联系数计算,可以揭示出其中潜在着的发展趋势.从而为更好地开展下一阶段教育提供了客观依据.
