On the two basic problems of complex damping theory

In this paper, two important basic problems relating to the complex damping theory are discussed. The two problems are: (1) the essence of complex damping, and (2) the dynamic solution of structures with complex damping in time domain. To investigate the above problems, the frequency-dependent viscous damping theory is established and the correct and applicable solution of forced vibration for a complex damping oscillator is given beforehand.Supported by the Joint Earthquake Foundation     

带Poisson跳随机微分方程终值与边值问题的适应解

Poisson跳的拟线性倒向随机微分方程x(t) ∫tf(s,x(s),,x(s)) y(s)]dMs =ξ,t∈[0,1],这里M = (W,Q)T,其中W为Wiener过程,Q为补偿Poisson过程.利用区间延拓和 Bihari 不等式证明了在某种弱于Lipschitz条件下方程存在唯一适应解,并给出了解的估计,从而将文章[1]的结论推广到带 Poission 跳的情形.另外,本文还讨论了以下形式的边值问题:dx(t) = f(t,x(t),y(t))dt y(t)dMt,Ax(0) Bx(1) =ξ*,t∈[0,1],并证明了在Lipschitz条件下适应解的存在唯一性.     

Extended Hyperbola Function Method and Its Application to Nonlinear Equations

An extended hyperbola function method is proposed to construct exact solitary wave solutions to nonlinear wave equation based upon a coupled Riccati equation. It is shown that more new solitary wave solutions can be found by this new method, which include kink-shaped soliton solutions, bell-shaped soliton solutions and new solitary wave.The new method can be applied to other nonlinear equations in mathematical physics.

将在动量空间具有积分形式的单胶子交换梯形近似下Ｂｅｔｈｅ－Ｓａｌｐｅｔｅｒ方程化为微分方程，求出该方程在四动量为零时的赝标解全部分量，其中第一分量为已知的Ｇｏｌｄｓｔｅｉｎ解．     

关于Duphantus方程(a~lx~m+c)/(abx+d)=by~2的一类解

通过对Ｄｕｐｈａｎｔｕｓ方程的研究，得到了当及时各种情况的全部正整数解。     

Periodic maintenance and repair rate control in stochastic manufacturing systems

In this paper, we consider a periodic preventive maintenance, repair, and production model of a flexible manufacturing system with failure-prone machines, where the control variables are the repair rate and production rate. We use periodic preventive maintenance to reduce the machine failure rates and improve the productivity of the system. One of the distinct features of the model is that the repair rate is adjustable. Our objective is to choose a control process that minimizes the total cost of inventory/shortage, production, repair, and maintenance. Under suitable conditions, we show that the value function is locally Lipschitz and satisfies an Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman equation. A sufficient condition for optimal control is obtained. Since analytic solutions are rarely available, we design an algorithm to approximate the optimal control problem.
