Low-Complexity Alternatives to the Optimal Linear Coding Scheme for Transmitting ARMA Sources

In the era of the Internet of Things, there are many applications where numerous devices are deployed to acquire information and send it to analyse the data and make informed decisions. In these applications, the power consumption and price of the devices are often an issue. In this work, analog coding schemes are considered, so that an ADC is not needed, allowing the size and power consumption of the devices to be reduced. In addition, linear and DFT-based transmission schemes are proposed, so that the complexity of the operations involved is lowered, thus reducing the requirements in terms of processing capacity and the price of the hardware. The proposed schemes are proved to be asymptotically optimal among the linear ones for WSS, MA, AR and ARMA sources.

X射线激光器——新兴的短波长相干光源

Ｘ射线激光器是运行在电磁辐射波谱中Ｘ射线波段的短波长相干光源，通常，Ｘ射线激光器都采用高功率激光器作为泵浦源，强激光与靶相互使用形成的高温等离子体作为工作介质，并采用单程（或双程）行波放大的运行方式，近１０年来，Ｘ射线激光器的研制工作取得了重大进展，并开始了Ｘ射线激光应用的初步研究，现在正朝着提供高亮度，有较好相干性并且价格便宜的小型短波长Ｘ光光源的目标努力。     

Zero temperature phase transitions in spin-ladders: Phase diagram and dynamical studies of Cu2(C5H12N2)2Cl4>

In a magnetic field, spin-ladders undergo two zero-temperature phase transitions at the critical fields H_c1 and H_c2. An experimental review of static and dynamical properties of spin-ladders close to these critical points is presented. The scaling functions, universal to all quantum critical points in one-dimension, are extracted from (a) the thermodynamic quantities (magnetization) and (b) the dynamical functions (NMR relaxation). A simple mapping of strongly coupled spin ladders in a magnetic field on the exactly solvable XXZ model enables to make detailed fits and gives an overall understanding of a broad class of quantum magnets in their gapless phase (between H_c1 and H_c2). In this phase, the low temperature divergence of the NMR relaxation demonstrates its Luttinger liquid nature as well as the novel quantum critical regime at higher temperature. 非线性光导开关的实验研究

本文简要介绍非线性光导开关的工作原理,重点报道作者对非线性光导开关输出特性的实验研究.比较了光导开关线性和非线性工作的输出特性,给出了非线性光导开关的输出电脉冲波形,研究了影响非线性光导开关输出电脉冲上升时间、延迟时间的因素,测得了偏压阈值与激励光脉冲能量阈值的关系,指出利用非线性光导开关研制成一种全新的、固态化的高压、高功率超短电脉冲产生器的可能性.

自注入式固体Ce~(3+)∶LuLiF_4激光器中紫外亚纳秒脉冲序列的产生

提出一个注入式结构，它可以用在各种脉冲激光器中产生短脉冲序列。在这个结构中，从短腔种子激光器产生单一的亚纳秒脉冲，这个种子脉冲在同一增益介质中被再生放大，直到增益衰减到最小。用一个１０ｎｓ脉冲激光器泵浦固体激光介质Ｃｅ３＋∶ＬｕＬｉＦ４，直接地，被动地产生了紫外亚纳秒脉冲序列。     

Microstructure of Gel-Glasses in the SiO2-Nd2O3 System

The microstructure of thermally treated neodymium containing silica gels is investigated by transmission electron microscopy and electron diffraction. Microheterogeneities with amorphous nature are found. Information for the short range order is obtained by the Radial Distribution Functions: SiO₄ tetrahedra and NdO₆ groups are formed and transition from four-fold to six-fold ring structure is observed with increasing of the heat treatment temperature.     

A weak Brun—Titchmarsh theorem for multiplicative functions

An important theorem of Shiu gives a (precise) bound for the average of values of multiplicative functions, of a certain class, over ‘short’ intervals. Here we obtain, by simple means, the above result of same qualitative order.     

Extensions of partially ordered partial abelian monoids

The notion of a partially ordered partial abelian monoid is introduced and extensions of partially ordered abelian monoids by partially ordered abelian groups are studied. Conditions for the extensions to exist are found. The cases when both the above mentioned structures have the Riesz decomposition property, or are lattice ordered, are treated. Some applications to effect algebras and MV-algebras are shown.
