n维散乱数据带自然边界条件多元多项式样条插值

考虑n维散乱数据Hermit-Birkhoff型插值问题,在使给定的目标泛极小的条件下,构造了一种带自然边界条件的多元多项式样条函数插值方法.重点研究了插值问题解的特征,存在唯一性和构造方法,并讨论了收敛性及误差,最后给出了一些数值算例对方法进行验证.     

A new high accuracy non-polynomial tension spline method for the solution of one dimensional wave equation in polar co-ordinates

In this paper, we propose a new three-level implicit nine point compact finite difference formulation of O(k² + h⁴) based on non-polynomial tension spline approximation in r-direction and finite difference approximation in t-direction for the numerical solution of one dimensional wave equation in polar co-ordinates. We describe the mathematical formulation procedure in details and also discuss the stability of the method. Numerical results are provided to justify the usefulness of the proposed method.     

Optimality conditions for maximizations of set-valued functions

The maximization with respect to a cone of a set-valued function into possibly infinite dimensions is defined, and necessary and sufficient optimality conditions are established. In particular, an analogue of the Fritz John necessary optimality conditions is proved using a notion of derivative defined in terms of tangent cones.     

Least-Squares Fitting of Algebraic Spline Surfaces

We present an algorithm for fitting implicitly defined algebraic spline surfaces to given scattered data. By simultaneously approximating points and associated normal vectors, we obtain a method which is computationally simple, as the result is obtained by solving a system of linear equations. In addition, the result is geometrically invariant, as no artificial normalization is introduced. The potential applications of the algorithm include the reconstruction of free-form surfaces in reverse engineering. The paper also addresses the generation of exact error bounds, directly from the coefficients of the implicit representation.

Operator splitting for numerical solution of the modified Burgers' equation using finite element method

The aim of this study is to obtain numerical behavior of a one‐dimensional modified Burgers' equation using cubic B‐spline collocation finite element method after splitting the equation with Strang splitting technique. Moreover, the Ext4 and Ext6 methods based on Strang splitting and derived from extrapolation have also been applied to the equation. To observe how good and effective this technique is, we have used the well‐known the error norms L₂ and L_∞ in the literature and compared them with previous studies. In addition, the von Neumann (Fourier series) method has been applied after the nonlinear term has been linearized to investigate the stability of the method.     

Numerical solution of the Rosenau–KdV–RLW equation by operator splitting techniques based on B‐spline collocation method

In the present study, the operator splitting techniques based on the quintic B‐spline collocation finite element method are presented for calculating the numerical solutions of the Rosenau–KdV–RLW equation. Two test problems having exact solutions have been considered. To demonstrate the efficiency and accuracy of the present methods, the error norms L₂ and L_∞ with the discrete mass Q and energy E conservative properties have been calculated. The results obtained by the method have been compared with the exact solution of each problem and other numerical results in the literature, and also found to be in good agreement with each other. A Fourier stability analysis of each presented method is also investigated.     

基于层次T网格的分片孔斯曲面重构

本文提出一种基于任意层次T网格的多项式(PHT)样条空间$S(3,3,1,1,T)$的一个新的曲面重构算法.该算法由分片插值于层次T网格上每个小矩形单元对应4个顶点的16个参数的孔斯曲面形式给出.对于一个给定的T网格和相应基点处的几何信息(函数值,两个一阶偏导数和混合导数值),可得到与$S(3,3,1,1,T)$的PHT样条曲面相同的结果,且曲面表达形式更简单,同时,在离散数据点的曲面拟合中,我们给出了自适应的曲面加细算法.数值算例显示,该自适应算法能够有效的拟合离散数据点.
