Diffusion in poro‐plastic media

A model is developed for the flow of a slightly compressible fluid through a saturated inelastic porous medium. The initial‐boundary‐value problem is a system that consists of the diffusion equation for the fluid coupled to the momentum equation for the porous solid together with a constitutive law which includes a possibly hysteretic relation of elasto‐visco‐plastic type. The variational form of this problem in Hilbert space is a non‐linear evolution equation for which the existence and uniqueness of a global strong solution is proved by means of monotonicity methods. Various degenerate situations are permitted, such as incompressible fluid, negligible porosity, or a quasi‐static momentum equation. The essential sufficient conditions for the well‐posedness of the system consist of an ellipticity condition on the term for diffusion of fluid and either a viscous or a hardening assumption in the constitutive relation for the porous solid. 本文在较弱的条件下,建立了2重多小波子空间与单小波子空间的关系.即由2重多小波构造出单小波.一方面,这种单小波的平移伸缩与2重多小波的平移伸缩生成的子空间是完全相同的;另一方面,它具有插值性.因此通过构造出的单小波建立了多小波子空间上的Shannon型采样定理.

Sets of sampling and interpolation in Bergman spaces

Properties of the unions of sampling and interpolation sets for Bergman spaces are discussed in conjunction with the examples given by Seip (1993). Their relationship to the classical interpolation sequences is explored. In addition, the role played by canonical divisors in the study of these sets is examined and an example of a sampling set is constructed in the disk.

     

Spectral Theory for Slowly Oscillating Potentials II. Schrödinger Operators

This paper continues the investigation about the singularity theory in dual rich quasi–Banach spaces given in T. Runst [Ru 2]. The abstract results are applied to the study of the solution structure of semilinear elliptic boundary value problems in spaces of Besov – Triebel – Lizorkin type.     

A Deformation-Theoretical Approach to Weyl Quantization on Riemannian Manifolds

By using a sheaf-theoretical language, we introduce a notion of deformation quantization allowing not only for formal deformation parameters but also for real or complex ones as well. As a model for this approach to deformation quantization, we construct a quantization scheme for cotangent bundles of Riemannian manifolds. Here, we essentially use a complete symbol calculus for pseudodifferential operators on a Riemannian manifold. Depending on a scaling parameter, our quantization scheme corresponds to normally ordered, Weyl or antinormally ordered quantization. Finally, it is shown that our quantization scheme induces a family of pairwise isomorphic strongly closed star products on a cotangent bundle.     

Neutral Community Theory: How Stochasticity and Dispersal-Limitation Can Explain Species Coexistence

Neutral community theory explains biodiversity, i.e. the coexistence of several species, as the result of a stochastic balance between immigration and extinction on a local level, and between speciation and extinction on a regional level. The most popular model, presented by Hubbell in 2001, has seen many analytical developments in recent years, which can be used in model analysis, model testing and model comparison. We review these developments here, and present alternative derivations and shine previously unnoticed lights on them.     

Backward extensions of subnormal operators

The concept of backward extension for subnormal weighted shifts is generalized to arbitrary subnormal operators. Several differences and similarities in these contexts are explored, with emphasis on the structure of the underlying measures.
