Optimal static routing problems in open BCMP queueing networks with state-independent arrival and service rates are studied. They include static routing problems in communication networks and optimal static load balancing problems in distributed computer systems. We consider an overall optimal policy that is the routing policy whereby the overall mean response (or sojourn) time of a job is minimized. We obtain the routing decisions of the overall optimal policy and show that they may not be unique, but that the utilization of each service center is uniquely determined by the overall optimal policy. We also consider an individually optimal policy whereby jobs are routed so that each job may feel that its own expected response time is minimized if it knows the mean delay time for each path. 相似文献

Effective routing of vehicles remains a focal goal of all modern enterprises, thriving for excellence in project management with minimal investment and operational costs. This paper proposes a metaheuristic methodology for solving a practical variant of the well-known Vehicle Routing Problem, called Heterogeneous Fixed Fleet VRP (HFFVRP). Using a two-phase construction heuristic, called GEneralized ROute Construction Algorithm (GEROCA), the proposed metaheuristic approach enhances its flexibility to easily adopt various operational constraints. Via this approach, two real-life distribution problems faced by a dairy and a construction company were tackled and formulated as HFFVRP. Computational results on the aforementioned case studies show that the proposed metaheuristic approach (a) consistently outperforms previous published metaheuristic approaches we have developed to solve the HFFVRP, and (b) substantially improves upon the current practice of the company. The key result that impressed both companies’ management was the improvement over the bi-objective character of their problems: the minimization of the total distribution cost as well as the minimization of the number of the given heterogeneous number of vehicles used. 相似文献

AbstractThis paper considers the garbage collection problem in which vehicles with multiple compartments are used to collect the garbage. The vehicles are considered to be Alternative Fuel-powered Vehicles (AFVs). Compared with the traditional fossil fuel powered vehicles, the AFVs have limited fuel tank capacity. In addition, AFVs are allowed to refuel only at the depot. We provide a mathematical formulation and develop two solution approaches to solve the problem. The first approach is based on the saving algorithm, while the second is based on the ant colony system (ACS) metaheuristic. Synchronization of workers and vehicles plays a major role in many industries such as logistics, healthcare or airport ground handling. In this paper, we focus on operational ground handling planning and model it as an archetype of vehicle routing problems with multiple synchronization constraints, coined as “abstract vehicle routing problem with worker and vehicle synchronization” (AVRPWVS). The AVRPWVS deals with routing workers to ground handling jobs such as unloading baggage or refuelling an aircraft, while meeting each job’s time window. Moreover, each job can be performed by a variable number of workers. As airports span vast distances and due to security regulations, workers use vehicles to travel between locations. Furthermore, each vehicle, moved by a driver, can carry several workers. We propose two mathematical multi-commodity flow formulations based on time-space networks to efficiently model five synchronization types including movement and load synchronization. Moreover, we develop a branch-and-price heuristic that employs both conventional variable branching and a novel variable fixing strategy. We demonstrate that the procedure achieves results close to the optimal solution in short time when compared to the two integer models. 相似文献

为了更加准确地描述现实生活中的交通情况,以经典的自私路由模型为基础,在边的费用函数上引入不确定性,从而定义了具有不确定性的自私路由模型.对于不确定性自私路由模型,采用三种费用衡量标准,风险厌恶型(保守型)、风险折衷型(理智型)、风险偏好型(乐观型),分别对应着不同人群在现实中的选择.进而定义了在不同衡量标准下所形成的稳定策略,即纳什均衡策略,并且证明了在任何一种衡量标准下,纳什均衡策略总是存在并且本质是唯一的.接着对三种费用衡量标准下的纳什均衡费用进行了比较,发现了一种反直观的现象:风险厌恶型(保守型)衡量标准下的纳什均衡费用可能严格低于风险偏好型(乐观型)衡量标准下的纳什均衡费用,即有可能会出现高风险低回报,低风险高回报的情况,这与经济学中高风险高回报,低风险低回报的原则是相违背的.以此为基础,进而提出了一种自私路由风险性悖论,并证明了这种自私路由风险回报悖论本质上是传统布雷斯悖论的推广.最后,刻画出了不会发生自私路由风险回报悖论的网络结构,证明了一个单对始终点网络不会发生自私路由风险回报悖论当且仅当它是序列-平行网络. 相似文献

针对线上到线下(Online to Offline,O2O) 外卖路径优化问题,综合考虑其动态配送需求、货物区分等特点以及时间窗、载货量等约束条件,将商圈看作配送中心,将快递员数量与快递员总行驶时间作为最小化目标,提出了以商圈为中心的O2O动态外卖配送路径优化模型。采用周期性处理新订单的方法将相应的快递员路径的动态调整问题转化为一系列静态TSP子问题,设计了一种分阶段启发式实时配送路径优化算法框架,并给出了一个具体算法和一个数值计算实例。在VRP通用算例的基础上,以商圈为中心生成测试算例,对本文算法进行仿真实验,并与其他算法比较。结果表明:本文算法能充分利用新订单附近的快递员进行配送,并优化其配送路径,有效减少了快递员数量与快递员总行驶时间。 相似文献
