Classification with Gaussians and convex loss Ⅱ:improving error bounds by noise conditions

We continue our study on classification learning algorithms generated by Tikhonov regularization schemes associated with Gaussian kernels and general convex loss functions. Our main purpose of this paper is to improve error bounds by presenting a new comparison theorem associated with general convex loss functions and Tsybakov noise conditions. Reproducing Kernel method for the solution of nonlinear hyperbolic telegraph equation with an integral condition

In this article, an iterative method is proposed for solving nonlinear hyperbolic telegraph equation with an integral condition. Its exact solution is represented in the form of series in the reproducing kernel space. In the mean time, the n‐term approximation u_n(x, t) of the exact solution u(x, t) is obtained and is proved to converge to the exact solution. Moreover, the partial derivatives of u_n(x, t) are also convergent to the partial derivatives of u(x, t). Some numerical examples have been studied to demonstrate the accuracy of the present method. Results obtained by the method have been compared with the exact solution of each example and are found to be in good agreement with each other. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. New Results on Generalized $c$-Distance Without Continuity in Cone $b$-Metric Spaces over Banach Algebras

In this work, some new fixed point results for generalized Lipschitz mappings on generalized $c$-distance in cone $b$-metric spaces over Banach algebras are obtained, not acquiring the condition that the underlying cone should be normal or the mappings should be continuous. Furthermore, the existence and the uniqueness of the fixed point are proven for such mappings. These results greatly improve and generalize several well-known comparable results in the literature. Moreover, some examples and an application are given to support our new results.

Discrete Calderón-type Reproducing Formula

In this paper we use the Calderón-Zygmund operator theory to provide a discrete Calderón-type reproducing formula. Since translation, dilation and, in particular, the Fourier transform are never used in the proofs, all results still hold on spaces of homogenous type introduced by Coifman and Weiss.
