We review here the results of our investigations concerning chaotic atomic scattering in the presence of a laser field. Particular emphasis is put on the existence of classical stable resonance structures, induced by the intense laser field, which are embedded in the field-free continuum. We show that phase space structures in the vicinity of a resonance island play an important role in the chaotic scattering behavior and form the basis for a mechanism to enhance the lifetimes of the collisional partners. Quantum calculations, based on a wave packet propagation method, show that quantum solutions are strongly influenced by the classical phase space structures. More specifically, a wave packet is found to spread differently in the regular and chaotic regions; in the latter case it spreads exponentially with time until saturation occurs, defining the saturation time. We also investigate the dependence of the spreading rates in both the regular and chaotic regimes. Calculations with an ensemble of classical trajectories are also presented to further illustrate the smoothing effects of varying.  相似文献

An ultraviolet-photochemical generator (UV-PVG) capable of post-column on-line transformation of both organic and inorganic mercury species to cold vapor (Hg0) with subsequent detection by quartz tube-atomic absorption spectrometry (QT-AAS) was developed. Mercury(II), methylmercury(I), ethylmercury(I), and phenylmercury(I) were successfully detected after separation by reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC). Two types of AAS detectors were compared. The first was a commonly used line-source instrument while the second was a high-resolution continuum source (HR-CS) AAS. The latter provided better limits of detection: 0.47?µg?L?1 for Hg(II), 0.84?µg?L?1 for methylmercury(I), 0.80?µg?L?1 for ethylmercury(I), and 2.0?µg?L?1 for phenylmercury(I). The repeatability at 30?μg?L?1 was 3.6%, 4.1%, 6.2%, and 4.5% for these species (n?=?10). These figures of merit were comparable with those reported for more sensitive atomic fluorescence spectrometry. Nine sample extraction procedures were investigated. Extraction by tetramethylammonium hydroxide and HCl at 75?°C was selected as the only method compatible with the proposed separation and detection steps providing high extraction efficiency and no changes in mercury speciation. The applicability of the proposed high-performance liquid chromatography–ultraviolet-photochemical vapor generation–quartz tube-atomic absorption spectrometry method was demonstrated using fish samples and certified reference materials (CRM) DOLT-4 (dogfish liver) and ERM-CE464 (tuna fish). The results were comparable to those obtained by a reference method based on L-cysteine extraction and high-performance liquid chromatography–inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (HPLC–ICP-MS) determination.  相似文献

It is shown by the B3LYP/6-311+G(2d,p)//B3LYP/6-31G(d) calculations that the hexacyano derivative of aza-acepentalene is an extremely powerful superacid both in the gas phase and in DMSO as evidenced by the ΔHacid = 255.1  kcal mol−1 and pKa (DMSO) = −26.5. Its synthesis is strongly recommended, in particular, since the related conjugate base hexachloro aza-acepentalenide anion was prepared recently.  相似文献

The orientational order parameters fot two liquid crystal materials, 4-cyanophenyl 4-butylbenzoate and 4-cyanophenyl 4-pentylbenzoate, have been derived by measuring the change in the refractive index as function of temperature. The order parameters are compared with MaierSaupe theory, and the sharpness of the transitions has been shown using the Haller's plot.  相似文献

An integrated finite element method (FEM) is proposed to simulate incompressible two‐phase flows with surface tension effects, and three different surface tension models are applied to the FEM to investigate spurious currents and temporal stability. A Q2Q1 element is adopted to solve the continuity and Navier–Stokes equations and a Q2‐iso‐Q1 to solve the level set equation. The integrated FEM solves pressure and velocity simultaneously in a strongly coupled manner; the level set function is reinitialized by adopting a direct approach using interfacial geometry information instead of solving a conventional hyperbolic‐type equation. In addition, a consistent continuum surface force (consistent CSF) model is utilized by employing the same basis function for both surface tension and pressure variables to damp out spurious currents and to estimate the accurate pressure distribution. The model is further represented as a semi‐implicit manner to improve temporal stability with an increased time step. In order to verify the accuracy and robustness of the code, the present method is applied to a few benchmark problems of the static bubble and rising bubble with large density and viscosity ratios. The Q2Q1‐integrated FEM coupled with the semi‐implicit consistent CSF demonstrates the significantly reduced spurious currents and improved temporal stability. We present a combination of semiempirical quantum‐mechanical (SQM) calculations in the conductor‐like screening model with the MM/GBSA (molecular‐mechanics with generalized Born and surface‐area solvation) method for ligand‐binding affinity calculations. We test three SQM Hamiltonians, AM1, RM1, and PM6, as well as hydrogen‐bond corrections and two different dispersion corrections. As test cases, we use the binding of seven biotin analogues to avidin, nine inhibitors to factor Xa, and nine phenol‐derivatives to ferritin. The results vary somewhat for the three test cases, but a dispersion correction is mandatory to reproduce experimental estimates. On average, AM1 with the DH2 hydrogen‐bond and dispersion corrections gives the best results, which are similar to those of standard MM/GBSA calculations for the same systems. The total time consumption is only 1.3–1.6 times larger than for MM/GBSA. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

采用高精度的量子化学从头计算多参考组态相互作用方法和相关一致基, 计算了LiBr分子基态的光谱常数和势能曲线. 为获得更准确的结果, 计算中还考虑了二阶Douglas-Kroll-Hess相对论修正对LiBr分子基态的平衡键长、谐振频率和离解能影响. 将计算得到的势能曲线拟合为Murrell-Sorbie解析势能函数形式, 并进一步计算得到LiBr分子基态的其它光谱常数,ωeχe, αe, Be, D0. 比较发现它们与实验值符合的非常好. 通过求解核运动径向Schrodinger方程, 找到了LiBr分子基态的全部振动态. 还计算了每一个振动态的振动能级、经典转折点和惯性转动常数, 这些结果与已有的实验值一致.  相似文献

Long‐range β‐ and γ‐relativistic effects of halogens in 15N NMR chemical shifts of 20 halogenated azines (pyridines, pyrimidines, pyrazines, and 1,3,5‐triazines) are shown to be unessential for fluoro‐, chloro‐, and bromo‐derivatives (1–2 ppm in average). However, for iodocontaining compounds, β‐ and γ‐relativistic effects are important contributors to the accuracy of the 15N calculation. Taking into account long‐range relativistic effects slightly improves the agreement of calculation with experiment. Thus, mean average errors (MAE) of 15N NMR chemical shifts of the title compounds calculated at the non‐relativistic and full 4‐component relativistic levels in gas phase are accordingly 7.8 and 5.5 ppm for the range of about 150 ppm. Taking into account solvent effects within the polarizable continuum model scheme marginally improves agreement of computational results with experiment decreasing MAEs from 7.8 to 7.4 ppm and from 5.5 to 5.3 ppm at the non‐relativistic and relativistic levels, respectively. The best result (MAE: 5.3 ppm) is achieved at the 4‐component relativistic level using Keal and Tozer's KT3 functional used in combination with Dyall's relativistic basis set dyall.av3z with taking into account solvent effects within the polarizable continuum solvation model. The long‐range relativistic effects play a major role (of up to dozen of parts per million) in 15N NMR chemical shifts of halogenated nitrogen‐containing heterocycles, which is especially crucial for iodine derivatives. This effect should apparently be taken into account for practical purposes.  相似文献

Four‐component relativistic calculations of 77Se–13C spin–spin coupling constants have been performed in the series of selenium heterocycles and their parent open‐chain selenides. It has been found that relativistic effects play an essential role in the selenium–carbon coupling mechanism and could result in a contribution of as much as 15–25% of the total values of the one‐bond selenium–carbon spin‐spin coupling constants. In the overall contribution of the relativistic effects to the total values of 1J(Se,C), the scalar relativistic corrections (negative in sign) by far dominate over the spin‐orbit ones (positive in sign), the latter being of less than 5%, as compared to the former (ca 20%). A combination of nonrelativistic second‐order polarization propagator approach (CC2) with the four‐component relativistic density functional theory scheme is recommended as a versatile tool for the calculation of 1J(Se,C). Solvent effects in the values of 1J(Se,C) calculated within the polarizable continuum model for the solvents with different dielectric constants (ε 2.2–78.4) are next to negligible decreasing negative 1J(Se,C) in absolute value by only about 1 Hz. The use of the locally dense basis set approach applied herewith for the calculation of 77Se–13C spin‐spin coupling constants is fully justified resulting in a dramatic decrease in computational cost with only 0.1–0.2‐Hz loss of accuracy.
