A Proximal-Type Method for Convex Vector Optimization Problem in Banach Spaces

In this paper, we consider a convex vector optimization problem of finding weak Pareto optimal solutions from a uniformly convex and uniformly smooth Banach space to a real Banach space, with respect to the partial order induced by a closed, convex, and pointed cone with a nonempty interior. We introduce a vector-valued proximal-type method based on the Lyapunov functional, carry out convergent analysis on this method, and prove that any sequence generated by the method weakly converges to a weak Pareto optimal solution of the vector optimization problem under some mild conditions. Our results improve and generalize some known results.     

Semilocal Convergence of Steffensen-Type Algorithms for Solving Nonlinear Equations

In this article, we provide a semilocal analysis for the Steffensen-type method (STTM) for solving nonlinear equations in a Banach space setting using recurrence relations. Numerical examples to validate our main results are also provided in this study to show that STTM is faster than other methods ([7 I. K. Argyros , J. Ezquerro , J. M. Gutiérrez , M. Hernández , and S. Hilout ( 2011 ). On the semilocal convergence of efficient Chebyshev-Secant-type methods . J. Comput. Appl. Filtrations of Totally Reflexive Modules

In this paper, we introduce a subcategory of totally reflexive modules that have a saturated filtration by other totally reflexive modules. We will prove these are precisely the totally reflexive modules with an upper triangular presentation matrix and that such a module has a complete resolution in which every differential can be simultaneously represented by upper triangular matrices.     

Witt groups of function fields of hyperelliptic curves

The local cohomology modules H^J _I(M) of a Matlis reflexive module are shown to be I-cofinite when j >= 1 and have finite Bass numbers when j >= 0, where I is an ideal satisfying any one of a list of properties. In addition, we show that the completion of a Matlis reflexive module is finitely generated over the completion of the ring and we classify Matlis reflexive modules over a one dimensional ring.

A CLASS OF ENTIRE DIRICHLET SERIES AS AN FK-SPACE AND A FRECHET SPACE

In the present paper we consider a class of entire functions represented by Dirichlet series whose coefficients belong to a commutative Banach algebra and prove it to be a complex FK-space and a Frechet space.

On a nonlinear heat equation with functional dependence

We reduce the Cauchy problem for a heat equation with the nonlinear right-hand side which depends on some functionals to an equivalent integral equation. Considering mainly Banach spaces of continuous, bounded and exponentially bounded functions, we give some natural sufficient conditions for the existence and uniqueness of solutions to these equations. We give a counterexample which shows that the Lipschitz condition is, in general, insufficient for the Cauchy problem with unbounded data and with functional dependence to guarantee an existence result     

The antipodal mapping theorem and difference equations in Banach spaces†

We employ the Borsuk–Krasnoselskii antipodal theorem to prove a new fixed point theorem in ordered Banach spaces. Then, the applicability of the result is shown by presenting sufficient conditions for the existence of solutions to initial value problems for first-order difference equations in Banach spaces. To prove that result we shall employ set valued analysis techniques.
