Plasmon‐mediated carrier transfer (PMCT) at metal–semiconductor heterojunctions has been extensively exploited to drive photochemical reactions, offering intriguing opportunities for solar photocatalysis. However, to date, most studies have been conducted using noble metals. Inexpensive materials capable of generating and transferring hot carriers for photocatalysis via PMCT have been rarely explored. Here, we demonstrate that the plasmon excitation of nickel induces the transfer of both hot electrons and holes from Ni to TiO2 in a rationally designed Ni–TiO2 heterostructure. Furthermore, it is discovered that the transferred hot electrons either occupy oxygen vacancies (VO) or produce Ti3+ on TiO2, while the transferred hot holes are located on surface oxygens at TiO2. Moreover, the transferred hot electrons are identified to play a primary role in driving the degradation of methylene blue (MB). Taken together, our results validate Ni as a promising low‐cost plasmonic material for prompting visible‐light photochemical reactions. 相似文献

The composition and stain distributions in the InGaN epitaxial films are jointly measured by employing various x-ray diffraction (XRD) techniques, including out-of-plane XRD at special planes, in-plane grazing incidence XRD, and reciprocal space mapping (RSM). It is confirmed that the measurement of (204) reflection allows a rapid access to estimate the composition without considering the influence of biaxial strain. The two-dimensional RSM checks composition and degree of strain relaxation jointly, revealing an inhomogeneous strain distribution profile along the growth direction. As the film thickness increases from 100 nm to 450 nm, the strain status of InGaN films gradually transfers from almost fully strained to fully relaxed state and then more In atoms incorporate into the film, while the near-interface region of InGaN films remains pseudomorphic to GaN. 相似文献

The three dimensional electron density in momentum space ρ(p) and in wave vector space n(k) was reconstructed for cadmium (Cd). The measurements were performed using the two dimensional angular correlation of annihilation
radiation (2D-ACAR) technique. Enhanced contributions in the spectra were observed around 5.5 mrad, discussed in terms of
a Kahana-like enhancement effect. From another viewpoint, Fermi radii were analyzed in the (λM K), (ALM) and (AHK) planes, and they showed a maximum deviation of about 4% from the free electron Fermi radius. Moreover, comparisons to a

This article will introduce the general formula of multiple Patterson function(MPF), and deduce therefrom phase structure invariants in reciprocal space that Hauptman and Karle introduced in a different way.
