On a class of binary linear completely transitive codes with arbitrary covering radius

An infinite class of new binary linear completely transitive (and so, completely regular) codes is given. The covering radius of these codes is growing with the length of the code. In particular, for any integer ρ≥2, there exist two codes in the constructed class with d=3, covering radius ρ and lengths and , respectively. The corresponding distance-transitive graphs, which can be defined as coset graphs of these completely transitive codes are described.

On the Bishop boundary in topological algebras

We characterize the existence of the Bishop boundary in the context of an Urysohn (topological) algebra, by means ofG _δ points. Considering a subset of its spectrum and the restriction of its Gel'fand transform algebra on the previous subset, we realize its Bishop boundary, as the trace of the Bishop boundary of the initial algebra on the spectrum of the restriction algebra. We get a generalization of the latter by considering a continuous algebra morphism. This paper is based on and extends results of the author's Doctoral Thesis, written under the supervision of Professor A. Mallios (Univ. of Athens).

Bohr radius for locally univalent harmonic mappings

We consider the class of all sense‐preserving harmonic mappings of the unit disk , where h and g are analytic with , and determine the Bohr radius if any one of the following conditions holds:

• 1. h is bounded in .
• 2. h satisfies the condition in with .
• 3. both h and g are bounded in .
• 4. h is bounded and .

We also consider the problem of determining the Bohr radius when the supremum of the modulus of the dilatation of f in is strictly less than 1. In addition, we determine the Bohr radius for the space of analytic Bloch functions and the space of harmonic Bloch functions. The paper concludes with two conjectures.

Ball numbers of platonic bodies

The ball number function is extended here to platonic bodies and corresponding generalized uniform distributions on platonic spheres are considered. A platonic disintegration formula of the Lebesgue measure is proved as well as a thin layers property.     

Modeling and numerical simulation of the resistance spot welding of zinc coated steel sheets using rounded tip electrode: Analysis of required conditions

This paper investigates the essential conditions to improve the accuracy of a resistance spot welding computational study of advanced zinc coated steel sheets using rounded tip electrode. An experimental analysis is performed to highlight the required considerations for a suitable simulation. A sequential Electrical-Thermal-Metallurgical and Mechanical (ETMM) finite element analysis with appropriate precautions of the contact conditions enables to accurately simulate the nugget development during the welding. A critical smooth evolution of the contact radius is required. A fine meshing with an interfacial mesh size of at least 0.05 × 10⁻³ m combined with a coupling time step of 0.0025 s between the electrical-thermal-metallurgical and the mechanical analysis allows a regular incrementation of the contact radius, without burdening the time computing. Accurate values of the contact resistance depending on the interfacial pressure and temperature are essential for a good simulation of the nugget size. The ETMM calculation is successfully extended to the simulation of the welding of a typical two sheets assembly.
