VANISHING THEOREMS FOR ACH KAHLER MANIFOLDS AND HARMONIC MAPS

We discuss a class of complete Kaihler manifolds which are asymptotically complex hyperbolic near infinity. The main result is vanishing theorems for the second L2 cohomology of such manifolds when it has positive spectrum. We also generalize the result to the weighted Poincare inequality case and establish a vanishing theorem provided that the weighted function p is of sub-quadratic growth of the distance function. We also obtain a vanishing theorem of harmonic maps on manifolds which satisfies the weighted Poincare inequality.     

Letter: A Cosmological Constant Interpreted as the Field Energy of a Quaternionic Field

The expression of a time-dependent cosmological constant 1/t² is interpreted as the energy density of a special type of the quaternionic field which is coupled to its own field energy. The general solution of the corresponding field equations yields the field energy which contains an integration constant t ₀. If t ₀ > 0 then the cosmological constant exhibits no initial singularity at t = 0. In the early universe the black energy associated with can be made small enough for the structure forming of galaxies getting, however, its observational value at the present time.     

Hodge decomposition theorem on strongly Kahler Finsler manifolds Dedicated to Professor Sheng GONG on the occasion of his 75th birthday

Faran posed an open problem about analysis on complex Finsler spaces: Is there an analogue of the (?)-Laplacian? Is there an analogue of Hodge theory? Under the assumption that (M,F) is a compact strongly Kahler Finsler manifold, we define a (?)-Laplacian on the base manifold. Our result shows that the well-known Hodge decomposition theorem in Kahler manifolds is still true in the more general compact strongly Kahler Finsler manifolds.

Generalized quaternionic involute-evolute curves in the Euclidean four-space E4

In this paper, a new type of quaternionic partner curves is defined as generalized quaternionic involute-evolute curves or $(0,2)$-quaternionic involute– $(1,3)$-quaternionic evolute curves in the four-dimensional Euclidean space. The relations between the Frenet frames and curvatures of the quaternionic involute-evolute curve couple are introduced. Moreover, the necessary and sufficient conditions for a quaternionic curve to have a generalized involute are obtained.

Given a domain Ω in ?³ with rectifiable boundary, we consider main integral, and some other, theorems for the theory of Laplacian (sometimes called solenoidal and irrotational, or harmonic) vector fields paying a special attention to the problem of decomposing a continuous vector field, with an additional condition, u on the boundary Γof Ω ? ?³ into a sum u = u⁺+u^? were u^± are boundary values of vector fields which are Laplacian in Ω and its complement respectively.
