The methods for the few-body system are introduced to investigate the states of the barrier Li quantumdots (QDs) in an arbitrary strength of magnetic field. The configuration, which consists of a positive ion located on thez-axis at a distance d from the two-dimensional QD plane (the x-y plane) and three electrons in the dot plane boundby the positive ion, is called a barrier Li center. The system, which consists of three electrons in the dot plane bound bythe ion, is called a barrier Li QD. The dependence of energy of the state of the barrier Li QD on an external magneticfield B and the distance d is obtained. A 9 μm cutoff 640 × 512 pixel hand-held quantum well infrared photodetector (QWIP) camera has been demonstrated with excellent imagery. A noise equivalent differential temperature (NEDT) of 10.6 mK is expected at a 65 K operating temperature with f/2 optics at a 300 K background. This focal plane array has shown background limited performance at a 72 K operating temperature with the same optics and background conditions. In this paper, we discuss the development of this very sensitive long-wavelength infrared camera based on a GaAs/AlGaAs QWIP focal plane array and its performance in quantum efficiency, NEDT, uniformity, and operability. In the second section of this paper, we discuss the first demonstration of a monolithic spatially separated four-band 640 × 512 pixel QWIP focal plane array and its performance. The four spectral bands cover 4–5.5, 8.5–10, 10–12, and 13.5–15 μm spectral regions with 640 × 128 pixels in each band. In the last section, we discuss the array performance of a 640 × 512 pixel broad-band (10–16 μm full-width at half-maximum) QWIP focal plane. 相似文献

The thermodynamic stability of4He4–13 at 3.2 K is investigated with the classical Monte Carlo method, with the semiclassical path-integral Monte Carlo (PIMC) method, and with the semiclassical all-order many-body method. In the all-order many-body simulation the dipole-dipole approximation including short-range correction is used. The resulting stability plots are discussed and related to recent TOF experiments by Stephens and King. It is found that with classical Monte Carlo of course the characteristics of the measured mass spectrum cannot be resolved. With PIMC, switching on more and more quantum mechanics. by raising the number of virtual time steps results in more structure in the stability plot, but this did not lead to sufficient agreement with the TOF experiment. Only the all-order many-body method resolved the characteristic structures of the measured mass spectrum, including magic numbers. The result shows the influence of quantum statistics and quantum mechanics on the stability of small neutral helium clusters. 相似文献

分析了影响激光二极管抽运Yb:YAG激光器调Q效率的参量,推导了激光二极管端面脉冲抽运Yb:YAG晶体的速率方程,解出了双程抽运情况下的净抽运量子产率。利用数值计算方法,模拟了净抽运量子产率与晶体长度,抽运光脉冲宽度等关系,得出晶体长度的优化可以提高Yb:YAG激光器输出效率。计算了词Q Yb:YAG激光器的最大增益、最大储能,分析了放大自发辐射对于Yb:YAG能量存储的影响。同时给出了激光二极管端面抽运调Q Yb:YAG优化设计方法。这些分析和计算为实际器件的研制提供参考。 相似文献

A scheme of magnetic calorimeter for registration of rare events
characterized by small energy release (cosmic rays, WIMPs, solitary X-ray
quanta) is proposed. The calorimeter is brought to operation by adiabatic
demagnetization, and its magnetic response is measured by a quantum
interferometer (SQUID, A. Barone and G. Paterno, Physics and applications of Josephson Effect). Special consideration is given to the specific
features of calorimeter operation in the ferromagnetic transition region.
The trigger registration of ultrasmall energy release by a ferromagnetic
