Lorentz-Covariant Loop Quantum Gravity

We review the Lorentz-covariant approach to loop quantum gravity. This approach solves the Immirzi parameter problem occurring in the standard loop approach based on the SU(2) gauge group. We show that there exists a unique loop quantization preserving all the classical symmetries at the quantum level and that the results obtained with it, such as the area operator spectrum, are independent of the Immirzi parameter. The standard SU(2) approach violates the diffeomorphism invariance and is therefore an incorrect quantization of gravity.     

CONSTRUCTION OF SOME KIESSWETTER-LIKE FUNCTIONS-THE CONTINUOUS BUT NON-DIFFERENTIABLE FUNCTION DEFINED BY QUINARY DECIMAL

In this paper, we construct some continuous but non-differentiable functions defined by quinary decimal, that are Kiesswetter-like functions. We discuss their properties, then investigate the Hausdorff dimensions of graphs of these functions and give a detailed proof.     

Noetherian PI Hopf algebras are Gorenstein

We prove that every noetherian affine PI Hopf algebra has finite injective dimension, which answers a question of Brown (1998).

     

Essential domains and two conjectures in dimension theory

This note investigates two long-standing conjectures on the Krull dimension of integer-valued polynomial rings and of polynomial rings in the context of (locally) essential domains.

     

Branes,Quantum Nambu Brackets and the Hydrogen Atom

The Nambu-bracket quantization of the hydrogen atom is worked out as an illustration of the general method. The dynamics of topological open branes is controlled classically by Nambu brackets. Such branes then may be quantized through the consistent quantization of the underlying Nambu brackets: properly defined, the quantum Nambu-brackets comprise an associative structure, although the naive derivation property is mooted through operator entwinement. For superintegrable systems, such as the hydrogen atom, the results coincide with those furnished by Hamiltonian quantization - but the method is not limited to Hamiltonian systems.

通过对爆炸抛撒图象的处理,得到液体界面的曲线.采用盒维数的计算方式,计算界面曲线的分形维数.通过对各时刻液体界面分形维数的变化研究,分析爆炸抛撒近场阶段的变化过程,同时观察到蘑菇状尖顶的出现与破碎,以及空化区域的形成和消失现象。
