Antiadditive Primitive Connected Theories

Our main goal is to prove that an infinite group is interpreted in every primitive connected non-superstable theory. Previously, we have introduced the concept of primitive connected theories, for which the quantifier elimination theorem was proved generalizing a similar elimination result for modules due to Baur, Monk, and Garavaglia. Here, we study primitive connected theories in which an infinite group is not interpreted, that is, theories that differ radically from theories of modules, but have a similar structure theory. Such are said to be antiadditive. (Note that theories of modules, as distinct from antiadditive ones, may be non-superstable.)     

Moduli Problems of Sheaves Associated with Oriented Trees

To every oriented tree we associate vector bundle problems. We define semistability concepts for these vector bundle problems and establish the existence of moduli spaces. As an important application, we obtain an algebraic construction of the moduli space of holomorphic triples.     

The Chevalley and Costant theorems for Mal’tsev algebras

Centers of universal envelopes for Mal’tsev algebras are explored. It is proved that the center of the universal envelope for a finite-dimensional semisimple Mal’tsev algebra over a field of characteristic 0 is a ring of polynomials in a finite number of variables equal to the dimension of its Cartan subalgebra, and that universal enveloping algebra is a free module over its center. We give a formula for Alexander polynomials of doubly primitive knots. This also gives a practical algorithm to determine the genus of any doubly primitive knot.

Matched Spatial Filtering by Primitive Reference Patterns and Correlation Diagrams for Shape Invariant Pattern Recognition

In this paper, twelve linear primitive reference patterns are proposed for synthesizing a matched spatial filter, known as a shape invariant filter, which can recognize all patterns with various shapes. Furthermore, reprocessed data, given by correlation between the input object of the system and the reference patterns “correlation diagrams” are introduced for processing peak signals in a digital system. By correlating the diagram from the input object with the standard diagrams, the 26 of the alphabet letters were recognized in the experiment. Moreover, feasibility of the rotational invariance of the filter was suggested by the computer simulation.
