On the Long-Time Behavior of the Quantum Fokker-Planck Equation

We analyze the long-time behavior of transport equations for a class of dissipative quantum systems with Fokker-planck type diffusion operator, subject to confining potentials of harmonic oscillator type. We establish the existence and uniqueness of a non-equilibrium steady state for the corresponding dynamics. Further, using a (classical) convex Sobolev inequality, we prove an optimal exponential rate of decay towards this state and additionally give precise dispersion estimates in those cases, where no stationary state exists.     

Drift transforms and Green function estimates for discontinuous processes

In this paper, we consider Girsanov transforms of pure jump type for discontinuous Markov processes. We show that, under some quite natural conditions, the Green functions of the Girsanov transformed process are comparable to those of the original process. As an application of the general results, the drift transform of symmetric stable processes is studied in detail. In particular, we show that the relativistic α-stable process in a bounded C^1,1-smooth open set D can be obtained from symmetric α-stable process in D through a combination of a pure jump Girsanov transform and a Feynman-Kac transform. From this, we deduce that the Green functions for these two processes in D are comparable.     

An entropy-based uncertainty principle for a locally compact abelian group

We classify all functions on a locally compact, abelian group giving equality in an entropy inequality generalizing the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle. In particular, for functions on a real line, we proof a conjecture of Hirschman published in 1957.     

Diffusing particles with electrostatic repulsion

Summary. We study a diffusion model of an interacting particles system with general drift and diffusion coefficients, and electrostatic inter-particles repulsion. More precisely, the finite particle system is shown to be well defined thanks to recent results on multivalued stochastic differential equations (see [2]), and then we consider the behaviour of this system when the number of particles goes to infinity (through the empirical measure process). In the particular case of affine drift and constant diffusion coefficient, we prove that a limiting measure-valued process exists and is the unique solution of a deterministic PDE. Our treatment of the convergence problem (as ) is partly similar to that of T. Chan [3] and L.C.G. Rogers - Z. Shi [5], except we consider here a more general case allowing collisions between particles, which leads to a second-order limiting PDE. Left versus right canonical Wiener-Hopf factorization and realization

For an arbitrary rational matrix function, not necessarily analytic at infinity, the existence of a right canonical Wiener-Hopf factorization is characterized in terms of a left canonical Wiener-Hopf factorization. Formulas for the factors in a right factorization are given in terms of the formulas for the factors in a given left factorization. All formulas are based on a special representation of a rational matrix function involving a quintet of matrices.     

Über die Magnetischen Eigenschaften der Cobaltate Na6CoS4, Na6CoSe4 und K6CoS4

Magnetic Properties of the Cobaltates Na₆CoS₄, Na₆CoSe₄, and K₆CoS₄ The alkali metal cobalt chalcogenides Na₆CoS₄, Na₆CoSe₄, and K₆CoS₄ crystallize in the space group P6₃mc with Z = 4. The structure is characterized by isolated [CoX₄]-tetrahedra. The magnetic susceptibilities show Curie-Weiss behaviour. The deviations at low temperatures are caused by antiferromagnetic interactions. The magnetic moments are discussed with regard to ligand-field parameters.     

Bouquet and join theorems for disentanglements

The disentanglement of certain augmentations is shown to be the topological join of a disentanglement and a Milnor fibre. The kth disentanglement of a finite map is defined and for corank 1 maps from ℂ ⁿ to ℂ ^{n +1} it is shown that they are homotopically equivalent to a wedge of spheres. 锰结核中硅,铝,铁,镁,磷,钾,锰,钛的XRFA

本文叙述了用XRF分析锰结核中Si、Al、Fe、Mg、P、K、Mn和Ti的方法。按照通常锰结核的主次成分制备6个人工合成标准,根据Sherman方程计算了已知成分(二元系统)的相对强度。用L-T方求得了互致元素校正的理论α系数(基本的、混合的、修正的),用DATAFLEX151B计算机以BASIC语言汇了“PRA,APU”计算机程序。然后进行非线性回归分析了锰结核样品得到了满意的结果。
