POSITIVE SOLUTION FOR NONLINEAR SINGULAR BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEMS

Under suitable conditions on f(·,u), it is shown that the two-point boundaryvalue problem((u'))' + λq(t)f(u) = 0in (0, 1),u(0) = u(1) = 0,has two positive solution or at least one positive solution for λ in a compatibleinterval.

利用锥的Krasnosel'skill不动点定理建立了二阶三点半正边值问题u″+λf(t,u)+δg(t,u)=0, t∈(0,1),u(0)=0, αu(η)=u(1).其中,λ,δ＞0, 0＜η＜1, 0＜αη＜1正解的存在性,这里,非线性项不需要是非负的.

半线性椭圆方程正解的存在性及熄灭现象

本文在环形域上证明了带有奇异性的半线性椭圆方程边值问题(1)、(2·)在C~2(Ω)∩C~0(Ω)中正解的存在性,且这个解是径向对称的,解关于R_0(R_1)的连续单调性.还给出了解有熄灭现象的充分必要条件.     

On accurate boundary conditions for a shape sensitivity equation method

This paper studies the application of the continuous sensitivity equation method (CSEM) for the Navier–Stokes equations in the particular case of shape parameters. Boundary conditions for shape parameters involve flow derivatives at the boundary. Thus, accurate flow gradients are critical to the success of the CSEM. A new approach is presented to extract accurate flow derivatives at the boundary. High order Taylor series expansions are used on layered patches in conjunction with a constrained least‐squares procedure to evaluate accurate first and second derivatives of the flow variables at the boundary, required for Dirichlet and Neumann sensitivity boundary conditions. The flow and sensitivity fields are solved using an adaptive finite‐element method. The proposed methodology is first verified on a problem with a closed form solution obtained by the Method of Manufactured Solutions. The ability of the proposed method to provide accurate sensitivity fields for realistic problems is then demonstrated. The flow and sensitivity fields for a NACA 0012 airfoil are used for fast evaluation of the nearby flow over an airfoil of different thickness (NACA 0015). Electrical conductance of solutions of lithium nitrate in 1,3-diaminopropane

Electrical conductances and densities of the LiNO₃-1,3-diaminopropane system have been measured as a function of composition and temperature. The results suggest that the solvent molecules may act as bridges between Li⁺ ions at higher concentration of LiNO₃.     

EXPONENTIAL STABILITY AND PERIODIC SOLUTION OF HYBRID BIDIRECTIONAL ASSOCIATIVE MEMORY NEURAL NETWORKS WITH DISCRETE DELAYS

In this paper, we study the existence, uniqueness, and the global exponential stability of the periodic solution and equilibrium of hybrid bidirectional associative memory neural networks with discrete delays. By ingeniously importing real parameters di > 0 (i = 1,2, …, n) which can be adjusted, making use of the Lyapunov functional method and some analysis techniques, some new sufficient conditions are established. Our results generalize and improve the related results in [9]. These conditions can be used both to design globally exponentially stable and periodical oscillatory hybrid bidirectional associative neural networks with discrete delays, and to enlarge the area of designing neural networks. Our work has important significance in related theory and its application.     

PERSISTENCE AND GLOBAL STABILITY FOR TWO-SPECIES NONAUTONOMOUS PREDATOR-PREY SYSTEM WITH DIFFUSION AND TIME DELAY

In this paper, a non-autonomous predator-prey model with diffusion andcontinuous time delay is studied, where the prey can diffuse between two pat-ches of a heterogeneous environment with barriers between patches, but for thepredator, the diffusion does not involve a barrier between patches, further itis assumed that all the parameters are time-dependent. It is shown that thesystem can be made persistent under some appropriate conditions. Moreover,sufficient conditions that guarantee the existence of a unique periodic solutionwhich is globally asymptotic stable are derived.
