The nonlinear complementarity problem can be reformulated as a nonsmooth equation. In this paper we propose a new smoothing Newton algorithm for the solution of the nonlinear complementarity problem by constructing a new smoothing approximation function. Global and local superlinear convergence results of the algorithm are obtained under suitable conditions. Numerical experiments confirm the good theoretical properties of the algorithm.  相似文献

The well-known theorem about the density of the space of probability charges with the Saks property in the space of all probability charges in the pointwise topology is proved in the vector case. New features are the uniform Saks property for the family of charges and sufficient conditions for the pointwise limit of a sequence of charges to have the Saks property.  相似文献

We consider quasi-isometric mappings of domains in multidimensional Euclidean spaces. We establish that a mapping depends continuously in the sense of the topology of Sobolev classes on its metric tensor to within isometry of the space. In the space of metric tensors we take the topology determined by means of almost everywhere convergence. We show that if the metric tensor of a mapping is continuous then the length of the image of a rectifiable curve is determined by the same formula as in the case of mappings with continuous derivatives. (Continuity of the metric tensor of a mapping does not imply continuity of its derivatives.)  相似文献

Stochastic control for systems with an unknown parameter is considered in this paper. The underlying problem is to minimize a functional subject to a system described by a singularly perturbed differential equation with an unknown parameter process driven by fast fluctuating random disturbances. This problem arises in the context of stochastic adaptive control, adaptive signal processing, and failure-prone manufacturing systems. Due to the nature of the wide-bandwidth noise processes, identifying the parameter process for eacht is very hard since the driving noise changes very rapidly. An alternative approach is used, and an auxiliary control problem is introduced to overcome the difficulties. By means of weak convergence methods and comparison control techniques, nearly optimal controls are obtained.This research was supported in part by the National Science Foundation under Grant DMS-9022139 and DMS-9224372.  相似文献

A method for estimating the dynamical statistical properties of the solutions of nonlinear Langevin-type stochastic differential equations is presented. The non-linear equation is linearized within a small interval of the independent variable and statistical properties are expressed analytically within the interval. The linearization procedure is optimal in the sense of the Chebyshev inequality. Long-term behavior of the solution process is obtained by appropriately matching the approximate solutions at the boundaries between intervals. The method is applied to a model nonlinear equation for which the exact time-dependent moments can be obtained by numerical methods. The calculations demonstrate that the method represents a significant improvement over the method of statistical linearization in time regimes far from equilibrium.Supported in part by the National Science Foundation under Grants CHE77-16307 and PHY76-04761.  相似文献

In this paper, linear time-invariant single-input single-output (SISO) systems that are stabilizable by linear proportional and integral (PI) compensators are considered. For such systems, a five-parameter nonlinear PI compensator is proposed. The parameters of the proposed compensator are tuned by solving an optimization problem. The optimization problem always has a solution.Additionally, a general nonlinear PI compensator is proposed and is approximated by easy-to-compute compensators, for instance, a six-parameter nonlinear PI compensator. The parameters of the approximate compensators are tuned to satisfy an optimality condition. The superiority of the proposed nonlinear PI compensators over linear PI compensators is discussed and is demonstrated for two feedback systems.  相似文献

研究了不同色温LED照明时节律效应随年龄的变化规律。在节律因子计算公式中,引入不同年龄人眼的透射谱,分析LED色温和年龄对节律因子的影响。然后,测量了12名老年和18名青年男性在黑暗状态下以及照度为500 lx、不同色温LED照明时的心率,采用黑暗状态与照明状态的心率变化表征节律效应,来验证所得的理论规律。结果表明:色温为6 500,5 500,4 500,3 500 K的LED照明时,青年人(20岁)的节律因子分别为1.1,0.7,0.5,0.44,不同色温LED照明时心率变化率差异明显;老年人(65岁)的节律因子分别为0.5,0.3,0.25,0.2,不同色温下心率变化较小。在同一色温LED照明时,节律效应随着年龄的增加而减小。LED色温不同时,青年人节律因子的变化较大,老年人则变化较小。  相似文献
